Oh man!!

Severe case of 'wannabe writers block'.

Everything I write down seems to sound either A. Pretentious or B. Totally fucking pretentious.

I think it would be better if I dressed myself up with some aviators, a swedish porn star tache and a sailors hat.

Oops. Beaten to it!!!

Feckity feck feck! The last few weeks have flown in, I thought the closing date was next week. I've got very little written. That's what I get for putting it off I guess. I might get something thrown together tonight. Half-baked idea in barely comprehensible script coming soon. Buggers

Don't worry, I've started writing, I just forgot to post here earlier.

I would tease you on this, but I've soooo been there, buck up chief save your creative juices for the 20th Script comp special.

Having said that I've finished after writing less-than-half at the start of the week and had mad panic today getting it all done, it was great to come back after such a long break, made me remember what made the contest so fun for me in the first place.
Good luck everyone.

Hey guys,

I've decided to keep the competition open until midnight this Thursday. Things have been a bit busy lately so I won't get round to putting up the scripts until the end of the week. This means that you all get some extra time to tweak your entries. Anybody who has already submitted an entry and is not completely happy with it can re-submit during the week.

Shit. I completely forgot about this, and now I have a super-important moot next Monday and can't do a godshitdamned thing. I suck.

I will be here to critique, though. As I always am.

No luck for me in finding the time to write my script. But I am interested to see what other people have come up with when they are posted.

I'm sorry I haven't replied until now but I injured my laptop in a tragic dusting accident two weeks ago. Turns out I blew a component of the motherboard which apparently, is an essential part of the computer. I'm collecting it from the computer shop tomorrow so could you tell the script challenge people that I haven't forgotten them and I shall be posting the scripts either tomorrow night or Sunday.

Man, I know the what Maria is going through, my cpu also busted up a few months ago too.

Hope she gets it repaired soon.

Id like to offer to run the competition come January 2010. Having a challenge out there in the next two months is probably not a good idea, since Christmas is coming and all the distractions that come with that.

So, Ill be more than happy (with assistance) to take over the competition in 2010 or temporary fill in until Maria decides to take back the reigns.

Is this challenge dead? Is this month going to happen, will there be a new month's challenge or is the whole thing done? Now Christmas has been and gone, I'd quite like to get back to the script challenge. It's nice having people read my work and a deadline to make me actually finish it!

mmmm good question. Maria has your computer died permanently and if so should we leave the challenge to a likewise fate?

I don't want to do it, but I think someone should start a new script challenge, at least for a month if Maria comes back. I nominate Wgamador.

Hey guys,

First off, so sorry about the delay. Between being run off my feet in retail over Christmas and having to buy new parts for my computer, I haven't had time to get the scripts up. If anyone would still like to submit a script for this month's challenge then go for it. I'll be putting the entries up this Wednesday night.

Maria

Awesome. Good to see things back on track. I never had the chance to submit a script for this challenge. I guess I could try and write one tonight.

Looking forward to seeing what people have written now the challenge is back on! Hopefully people who entered will still be around to vote.

Maybe it might be worth also PMing people who wrote scripts to remind them that they're being posted and get them to vote.
