Whilst this will be the first feature length film, Revenge of the Brick, a 5 minute short parody of Episode 3, was released in 2005.

The "Lives" of Locke Lamora? Helen, you should really proof read your articles.

I've just stared re-reading the books while forever waiting for the next one and can't wait to see this.

They might as well make that as a film.

Demented? My first question is, if this is successful, will there be a Duplo spin-off?

To be fair with GI Joe and Transformers there were cartoons and comics to derive a plot from (so at least there was a half-arsed mythology to sell toys off), but Lego? maybe the Lego realm clashes with our own, and is directed by Michel Gondry with a script by Charlie Kaufman. I'd watch that. The term 'spotless mind' does seem fairly relevant to the people who suggested this in the first place. Let's be honest, this will either be the single greatest thing ever- for all the wrong reasons- or so bad it will disappear down that big well with The Gate 2.

A Danish moviesite have talked to a CEO at Lego.

He confirms the movie that will be classic Lego and not a Bionicle movie. It will also take place in parrallel worlds. One live action and one completely CGI. And says the worlds with stay apart and not interact in a Roger Rabbit-kind of way.

The problem is,if they do a movie, they can't have the Lego characters grumbling. They will have to actually speak. It will also have to be a pretty good script and made using CGI or stop motion for it to suceed. It can't be a cartoon,it has to be a live action movie set on Earth otherwise it won't work,it'll be too cheesy.
