Wow... How can I be sitting there knowing the fate of our heroes and still be holding by breath with each fight?!?!?

GANNICUS!!!!! I just...

Nice credit sequence at the end too.

I'll miss this madness. Who'd have thought I'd get so hooked and invested in a not guilty pleasure way to this show?

Loved how they gave Andy Whitfield the final word. A truly epic finale that still played with audience preconceptions right to the end. A fantastic show and I can't wait to see what DeKnight does with Incursion.

One thing, is the white armor Pompey was wearing the same one Alexander the Great is considered of wearing? Is so, that's an incredible subtle link to his character and who he aspired to.

I was a little put off by some of the silliness in the last episode, such as the trench digging the night before the fight, and the often conveniences during the finale. Maybe because I started on Game of Thrones I started nit picking the differences in "quality" but to be fair I have really enjoyed the whole series, even though I had issues with War of the Damned.

I didnt know the history of slave uprising, so I didnt know who would live or die, so there were some neat surprises. Edge of my seat stuff with Gannicus, with the troops gradually surrounding him, shame he got that end, but it was "nice" seeing him in his final moments, relieving old glory with his old friend. Spartacus' end was brutal, but I thought his death was very well acted (if a little prolonged after those wounds!). Andy Whitfield at the end was a lovely touch.

Spartacus was worth it I reckon. Id rewatch soon enough if I get the blu rays.

Sorry to see the series finally end but at least they had the sense not to drag it out for a couple of more series.

A sad ending but we knew it was coming and that it would only end one way.

I AM SPARTACUS!!!!

Finished watching War of the Damned in two days. Absolutely phenomenal TV and will go down as the most underrated show ever.

Steven S. DeKnight was schooled well by the master and I'll be watching the rest of his career.
