Thought you were very unlucky, Qwerty.

Would have been some scalp! Only watched the first half of the first leg but I made sure I watched all of the second.

As you say, a wee bit more guile in the final third and it could have been better. Was impressed with Templeton and McDonald, especially. I've got quite a few mates who support Liverpool but it would have been funny if you'd managed to hold on, force extra-time and sneaked something after that.

To be honest, I'm not sure we would have survived an additional 30 minutes as we looked almost dead on our feet. We were right to push for a second & with a bit more composure, the unthinkable could have happened.

As for Templeton? Pathetic really.

Sometimes the mentality of footballers just astounds me. Opts to drop 4 divisions & waves goodbye to a potential international career...for money?

What a guy....

Phuck it, he was inconsistent anyway.

Strange one about Templeton. Grew up in a Celtic family and had his dad's surname "Cooper" until it was changed. Then years later he decides to drop to the 4th tier of Scottish football to play for the . Daftie. But, there was a rumour going round that they hadn't completed the signing by midnight. Would be funny if they didn't manage to do it in time.

Dons win, Dons win, Dons win.

I love an injury time winner. Beautiful.

Motherell getting pumped by some 3rd Division mob. Ha. Losers.

So, both Fletchers back in Levein's Scotland squad.

Too little too late with regard to O'Neill's crutch. Welcome back to Darren - absence of clue evident during his convalescence.

I watch semi-interested from afar.

Some clown called Ogilvie still in his job after admitting to be unable to do it for a prolonged period.

Oh aye: Dons won, Dons won, Dons won! Getting the hang of these "goal" things.

Dons win, Dons win, Dons win.

3-1 over the abstainers.

3rd in the table. 1 point off table topping Hibs. Hibs? Seriously? 'kinell. Weirdness afoot.

Got these goal things figured now like.

Now, Scotland...

Hearts in the poop, delay on paying players again!

Gutted about Ryan Jack, massive loss for us especially with the New Firm game this weekend.

New Firm? Weegia drivel. They're a piddly wee team who clung onto our coattails.

Jacker's a tough blow like. He's one of our savviest players.

Hearts are always good for a laugh.

So, unfortunately, is the national team.

Yawn.

Dons win. Again. 2 points off the lead.

Ross County and the Midden next up, the latter in the diddy cup as well. By the time we play rasellickbyrawaybigmanbut at Pittodrie in mid-November it could be for top spot in the league. Ha. The Dons! Fa'd hae thunk it?

Still, armageddon...

League'll be done by Xmas.

4th in SPL - 2pts of fthe lead. 4th in EPL - 7 points off the lead. 8 points between top and 2nd bottom.

1 round of fixtures complete. 13 different recipients of yellow cards for fouls on the Dons' winger Ryan Fraser.

Dons u-21s humped Motherwell 5-1 midweek. Got a young lad called Declan McManus scoring for fun. The way Vernon's going the yoof may get a sniff.

If you cannae spell it then here's what it says:
Debts, debts, gargantuan debts
t'was down at Tinkcastle they bade
Division 3 soon for the boys in maroon
And Hector will find them unpaid

This is their story, this is their song,
Sell out to Vlad and you will go wrong,
For some say The Rangers
And Rangers are done
But the boys in maroon
will be just as much fun

Erm, aye, well, hmmm.

Dons lose, Dons lose, Dons lose.

Something eerily familiar about this. Cup tie, penalties, crap performance, evident lack of bottle. Honestly thought we were past this. Which is exactly the time when fitba usually kicks me in the nuts.

I'm keeping a running tally on cards shown for fouls on Ryan Fraser - 16 yellows in 14 games now, 1 red. Should have been more. Bright young talent getting kicked out of the game. He was only on the pitch 40-odd minutes tonight. 2 bookings, should've been 4.

SFA to decide Avril's fate this week. See if he's still in a job...

Always amusing to find a supporter of a club whose finances aren't exactly wonderful themselves have a pop at another - even if ours are more immediate.

Anyway, see you in the semis.

Well aye, the planet is dying, the galaxy's on a collision course with another one, the sun will stop burning and I'm sure that even the mighty Dons will one day cease to be.

You're phucked immediately though. Contested tax case, transfer embargo, now 400+ of unpaid PAYE, winding up order (again), begging letter from club to fans "gie's money or we're doomed inside 10 days."

Hahahahahaha.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

2 cups, no club. 2 cups, no club.

You're a pathetic individual boaby. I would never wish such things on your club. Nor would I be lapping it up as a cause for celebration.

Phuck off - as you might so eloquently put it...

On a happier note, well done to Celtic on a phenomenal result. Unlike this gibbering imbecile from the north, I can see beyond the dark-aged petty bile he enjoys stewing in & acknowledge this as a good night for Scottish football.

If the Dons were in Hearts' position having gotten ourselves into that position in a manner similar to Hearts I'd be laughing at us.

As it is, we're not. Top of the league, top of the league, almost, almost.

Big game at Pittodrie next week. No doubt our bottle will crash, again, and we'll have to root out the superglue, again. Still, ye never know.

Oh aye, another booking for a foul on Fraser. Edging towards 20 now. The loon limped off after another late tackle went unpunished.

I highly doubt that, but I guess we'll find out for sure in a few years time - unless there actually is a revolution in scottish football that addresses everyone's current unrelenting course towards Armageddon.

In the mean time, I'll be doing all I can to help out a club I've been following regularly since I was 4 years old. The prospect of there not being a Hearts for a future 4 year old of mine makes one very, very sad.

Admittedly this scenario has been brewing for years, but that doesn't make it any less depressing.

Going into administration almost seems like a victory at the moment. I'll take it though if it means being able to preserve the club long term & getting its control back in the hands of decent people who actually care about it.

How ace are we? Very ace, that's how ace.

The flower of Luxembourg humbled by the impressive score of 2-1. Give Stark the job. His Queens Park team were quite something.

Oh well, now that footballing feast is over all I have to draw my attention is the arrival in Aberdonia of the blight that is rasellickbyrawaybigmanbut(watchyercarfuryemister)

Compared with the bewitching spectacle of this past evening the mundane 2-0 win that lies ahead nearly 2 hours after high noon on Saturday is as raffle prize to a lottery winner.

Still, rude to grumble.

Dons suck, Dons suck, Dons suck.

Timid, fearful performance by the Dandies. Tippy-toed into the lions' den and waited to get eaten, which duly happened when the wild beast decided it could be bothered.

Big Game, big crowd, Dons sh!te it.

And Hope kicks me in the nuts again.

It's ridiculous but hilarious.

Liquidated for no reason.

So, every employee of every company in the UK should from now on be paid via EBTs. Cuts tax liability by a huge amount. We could have a nation of employees "paid" nothing, taxed nothing... presumably free to claim benefits.

Surely this ruling could absolutely buckle the state.

Bonkers.

So, apparently the wee team lived beyond their means & "cheated" their way to a cup final mauling? A 4 million pound wage bill last season? A second year annual loss? Oh the irony!

Thank you Hibbies. Whilst we're currently on another level of financial gloom, it at least proves you're a bunch of hypocrites & bar perhaps Celtic, everyone's buggered long-term in the current domestic set-up - especially if the SPhell manage to push through their absurd 24 team, mad rotating 3 way top/middle/bottom flight nonsense.

Really, "paid" was the wrong word. It's a loan. No tax on a loan.

I don't know if Newsnight Scotland makes it onto iplayer but there was a talking head on it last night that suggested there was no tax liability.

Of course, that's if the ruling holds up. HMRC are appealing.
