This must be top on the list of unnecessary sequels. Leave it alone. The original is a bona fide, absolute classic and no matter how good the sequel may be, it won't add to the original in any way.

WHY does Zemekis keep making these animation movies??? Is he just trying to be the number 1 guy for making films no one (well, OK me) wants to see?
What the hell was that stupid Beowulf all about? Ray Winstone as a musclebound viking or whatever?! Then Polar Express - dead eyed Tom Hanks monster on a train.
It's not good, it's not worth the ticket price.
I remember when this man made really well crafted live action blockbusters like BTTF (and no, I do not want a sequel to it) which continue to wow kids (as a teacher, I know this for a fact) and the sheer brilliance of Forrest Gump (nay-sayers be damned. It made me start running again and the ability to turn a frankly unlikeable character from a really rather rum book into the Gump we saw on screen was amazing) is still unbeaten as far as I can tell. A sequel to that would be great.
So keep your Roger Rabbit sequel plans - liked the original but give us some new ideas with real actors in them please...

Name it 'Valiant & Valiant' and have it set towards the run up of Teddy's death. That would be friggin' awesome!
But who to play Eddie? Bob's a bit too old to play his younger self.

At least it isn't a remake...
