I'm not sure what to make of the little I saw of Antichrist. I probably made a bad decision in taking it out when I did, it was my mates birthday and he's into his horror films so I took it round to his and we were having a few drinks and a laugh. Antichrist lasted 30 minutes before we had to turn it off, just wasn't the right film at the time apart from anything! But I really wasn't enjoying it anyway. I'm never sure what to make on some 'arty' films such as this. Yes it was very powerful and the performances from the lead characters, especially Gainsbourg, were very impressive and believable. But it just wasn't gripping me and in fact I really wasn't looking forward to how the film was going to progress, I found myself immediately wanting it to be over! I am going to try and watch the whole thing from start to finish at some point as I don't often like to give too much opinion on a film I've only partially experienced, I'm just not sure what I am going to gain or enjoy about the viewing of it!
