Joined: 18/2/2008 long he and Steven Spielberg stay as far away from doing a much ill-advised remake of Oldboy, which they were planning to do earlier this year.

The story sounds good, but Will Smith? - 9/7/2009 12:44:49 PM

This idea sounds not to far away from a story/image in Jonathan Safran Foer's novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (the bit about part of Manhattan breaking off and floating away anyway). I can't say that I've loved any Will Smith movie (nothing comes to mind), but this does intrigue me and I'm interested to hear more details around the plot...

I've enjoyed every movie Will Smith has made recently, from the Pursuit of Happyness to I Am Legend and Hancock. The only movie he ever made that I absolutely refused to go see was Seven Pounds. If that means I'm shallow, so be it. I have no desire to see him skinny dip with a poisonous jellyfish, so go for this one, Will! I'll pay money to see it.
