Shame they're probably not going to keep him Indian - I'd have loved to see Naveen Andrews from LOST as Nemo.

Braveheart was crap. Worst Scottish accent ever from Gibbo? And what, there were no Scots who could play Wallace? Pure vanity on his part. And as for his other two movies. Oh. My. Fucking. God.

This may just turn out to be a big smelly turd. Which is a shame. I love the original Disney version with the perfect James Mason, although I feel it has the potential to make an amazing modern movie. But it'll just be another Hollywood cliche ridden mess.

I've been meaning to read the novel for years and it's just sat over there on my 'to do' desk...

That's a great choice, good intensity, smashing actor, known but not overly publicised, can perform with a real sense of darkness but is still is able to retain a likeableness (if that's a word) and a sense of sympathy for the characters he plays. If it were in in the driving seat, it'd be a no-brainer!

If'n I remember right you gave it 4 stars in the cinemas. It is a big cheesball of a film, ditto the Man in The Iron Mask. If John Wayne was still alive Randall Wallace would be writing and directing all his films. I think this remake is a lousy idea, there's classic literature and even classic film adaptations, but in this day and age who wants a 20,000 leagues reboot. Especially by McG, his oevre doesn't seem to stretch to olde school classic book adap's. Unless it's a pumped up hi - octane thrill a minute adaptation (sigh) which it probably will be.

I agree that Naveen Andrews would be a fantastic choice but this is Disney we're talking about. The chances of them turning Nemo into a blond, blue-eyed hero are almost a 100% certainty.

That bastard mouse!

And I thought this film was going to be shit with McG directing. Now Randall's on board, this may be actually turn out to be more horrific than an abortionists wheelie bin.

With the number of great Bollywood actors out there, there's no excuse for a white Nemo. Heck, cash in on some Slumdog popularity and cast Anil Kapoor.

'Braveheart (good)'? In what paralell universe was that then?
Surely you're getting it confused with Rob Roy (which admits at the begining that it's hokum, making for a hugely enjoyable, if popcorny, movie-guilt free).
