that's nothing when I was a lad, 18 of us use to live in a small shoe box. We use to get up at 6.00 walk 18 miles to the pit, get pushed down it. Work for 10 hours straight, go home and get beaten by our dads.

 There's only one bad thing about living in York, you've got to travel miles to see any decent band or event, we don't have a decent stadium/concert centre. Instead we get the likes Derek Acorah and Jimmy Carr Although the Chuckle Brothers are on soon, AWESOME! Good Yorkshire folk them.....

I'm from Manchester but have been living in Leeds since I came to uni here over 7 years ago now. I do like Leeds as a place, but the people here can be really quite disagreeable sometimes.. It's as if they're all a little bit miserable all the time (dunno if that's football related ).

That being said, Manchester, particularly in the area I'm from near the Trafford Centre, seems to be getting more and more chavs by the year now which just puts me off going back unfortunately..

HOWEVER, Yorkshire types don't half have some stupid words. Whoever came up with 'mesen' (pronounced 'mee-sen') as a replacement for the word 'myself' is clearly an idiot!
