I've gone off the film. The first time I watched I had been drinking and I thought it was awesome. Watched it again the other day stone cold sober and I was a little bored...

...I am going to put this in the same category of films that are better watched with beer and wine in your system (see also the Underworld films, The Rock, King Kong and anything with Adam Sandler in).

I really want to see Transformers 2 again - maybe in IMAX.

But the nearest IMAX is Birmingham so that's a no no.

That's weird because I never want to see it again but if I did I'd watch it on the smallest possible screen and I'd pay as little as possible. Ideally it would come free with a newspaper.

I've noticed your hatred towards the film has grown since your initial reaction.

BTW, listen to the link below - going through Galactica nostalgia even though it's just been a few months.

It's nothing to do with the racism, either. It's more to do with the beingshitism.

that music from BSG is really good.

Have you watched Caprica? I started to watch it twice but couldn't get through it.

Will try once more.

Yup, watched it all the way through in one sitting and later the commentary.

Different but interesting.

And come on - a transformer that can turn into an extremely hot girl? Really?!

Well, that is based on an established Transformer concept, the Pretenders - Transformers hiding in organic shells. Mind, those shells were of astronauts and monsters, not sexy women...

More of the same abysmal shite. Somebody please stop Michael Bay. Plus Spielberg has a lot to answer for, from the King of Moviemaking (and caring about it) to being a complete sell out. You'd think he had enough money. I s'pose the 3 year olds would have enjoyed it and will bug ma & pa for all the toys the christmas. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Make some decent films for gods sake. This year has been bloody awful. Thank god for Moon.

In my view t was a good sequel. Great effects and the story keeps you entertained. However the story is still very weak. I mean the Matrix of leadership! Who created this shit.
I have many queries like how could optimus be ressurected if first of all had a sword stuck throw him and then blown his spark away. Honestly. Also i wish the end fight was longer i felt that Bay wanted to end it at 2 hours or it's actual time. Plus the stand off between the Autobots and Decepticons was extremely weak compared to the first film.
So on balance it's a good sequel but not brilliant. The first film is still miles better!

I have just seen this again and now can officially confirm that this movie gets much worst on second viewing (I had to go see it with a friend who was desperate to see it). I was so bored throughout the whole film that I actually spent about 30 minutes looking at the auditorium ceiling and the beautiful architecture of the pillars.

Wow what can i say about this other than it blows.

Makes the first one look like a subtle study into relationships!

Mr Bay is evil simple as that.

Stp making films and go away!

Not a patch on the first one. Would agree with a lot of Nicks review and a lot of the other comments in the forum. There are lots of great visuals, but there is also some piss poor story telling so i hope they leave it alone after this one or get someone else in to direct it. A lot of potential gone to waste.

What happened to Bay? I watched the first installment 2 times but this one was eating my mind on first view. How come Shia's mind is filled with symbol's when he touched it before in the first installment ? Everyone gets dead or alive!

Before I begin, the Matrix of Leadership appears in the original animated movie so Transformers fans will be aware that this has merely been reused in this film, albeit in a slightly different form.

I like this film for a number if reasons but there are lot of things that bugged me about it. The action scenes are just too fast. I'm not sure its possible for the human eye to tell exactly whats going! I think this is a general problem with action films these days (Quantum of Solace, Bourne trilogy etc) and especially CGI heavy offerings such as this. The fact that the storyline is poor may offer an explanation for this. Filmmakers are increasingly reliant on the use of CGI to tell their stories and it seems that everything else is secondary. In this film I wanted more Megatron/Starscream squabbling (though it did improve on the first film). now I accpet that this would require the use of CGI but it would have been a much sterner test of the writers abilities than having a Dyson decepticon running around or a decepticon humping Megan Fox' leg. The premise of the film appears also to have been taken directly from Episode 1 of series 2, another sign of the writers weakness perhaps. Or maybe they just really liked that episode!

The twin autobots are also possibly on a par with Jar Jar Binks as the worst charactert ever. The moment one gets sucked into Devastator I breathed a sigh of relief (only to be disappointed as it appeared apparently unscathed).

However the film does have its charms. Optimus Prime is way more badass than in the first and there is a great deal more focus on teh robots this time. I have to admit I came out of the cinema thinking this film was awesome but now I think about it I can actually remember what I liked about it. Maybe its just nostalgia. But is there anything wrong with that?

I'd like to see a third with more depth to the characters and perhaps less action. Unicron would be an excellent addition as would the Dinobots. Not sure if

this is dumb entertaining summer fun with big explosions, thoughtless action, robots bashing into each other and plot hoes galore. A perfect popcorn summer blockbuster with superb special effects and action sequences. It may be to long and the plot ridiculous but hey did you really go into a michael bay summer film about robots really expecting art? take it for what it is, go with it and you will enjoy its nonsense, humour and action. Perhpas next time though Megan Fox could be more than window dressing and it could gain some brains but in a way that would make transformers lose the charm of what it is and what i love it for which is turning my brain off and enjoying the robots.

This movie is like a metaphor for all thats wrong with hollywood today. Bloated, loud, overlong, unenjoyable garbage. Megan Fox looks hot as always. But Shia Lebuef is seriously startin to get on my nerves. Avoid and just cherish your memories of the first one...while praying they never get around to making the third...
