Hmmm. Don't know if it's the way I read it, but your piece reads a little dismissively, Helen. Hope I'm wrong. I'm really looking forward to DOGHOUSE since I'm intrigued to see how Jake West does with a relatively decent budget.

What is the appeal of Danny Dyer? He seems to serve no purpose. Can someone please enlighten me?

Great! Another movie where Mr Dyer stretches his acting 'talents' by playing Moff from Human Traffic again.

I thought 10 min teasers were supposed to be a positive marketing tool?

I think this looks great fun and there's more to this than Danny Dyer who seems to be a love him or hate him guy, also a great cast including BAFTA winning Noel Clarke, Stephen Graham from This is England and the brillant Lee Ingleby! I'm going to go see this and I think it's a shame Empire hasn't reported more about this film and seems more interested in Blockbusters rather than cool British indie stuff like this.

Ten Minute Teaser! - 7/6/2009 7:08:24 PM

Loved it!
Far better than those 30 second action bites, and then huge disappointment when you actually find that those 30 seconds were the best bits.
But, back to the movie.......... having just seen (probably) one ninth of the film, do I still want to go out and pay good money for the remaining 80 minutes?
It's formulaic, it's laddish, it's British (it's not by Shane Meadows - which might be a good thing?), it's got Danny Dyer (I've read some of these other comments and..............does he have a fan club?), it's got Zombies, it's a gorefest and ...................... I actually I liked it.
Brit cast, brit locations, but most importantly, british humour. You can't beat it. In fact I'm very much looking forward to seeing the movie - the teaser made me laugh, and you can always see a bit of yourself in the laddish drinking culture (although I've stopped that now!).
Anyway, ten minutes, brilliant idea - shame other movie-makers don't have the b***s or confidence in their product to try doing something similar.
Thanks for reading
and thank you, Hanover Films.
