I've only seen half the film, tbf, but the whole episode seemed so half-arsed. Didn't really know what to do, or where it was going, and ended up being just rubbish.

These tribute episodes are really getting on my nerves.
They've sacrificed plot and character development in service of shoehorning as many songs as possible.

I've heard so many bad things about this episode that I watched it with some trepidation. I'm a big fan of Rocky, and as you have probably guessed a big fan of Glee as well. And when I heard they did Sweet Transvestite without a transvestite and with the lyrics changed I feared the worst.

In the end I have to say that I loved it.

I ended up watching the whole thing with a massive smile on my face.

I thought Sweet Transvestite was really good, yet different take on it and Mercedes really hit it. A lot of the songs were sung pretty faithfully as well and none were murdered. But the best song for me was Touch Me. Jayma Mays still continues to be incredibly cute, and I loved Britnay and Santana popping up to do the commentary.

Talking of Britany, her Columbia was just so hot, as was Quinn's Magenta. I also thought Kurt was at his best here as Riff Raff, and being out of the way most of the time was a little bonus.

Watched the last 3 episodes back to back last night and the Rocky Horror episode was quite honestly shite. I can't agree with you DJ regarding the Sweet Transvestite track, it just felt unbelieveably safe! Plus, what the hell was with the religion episode and Kurt's dad, it was such a downer and the tone was all off whenever Finn popped up with his piece of Toastie Jesus! Have to say that so far, S2 has been pretty shit apart from the Brittany episode which was excellent and it surpassed the Madonna episode by miles. I also agree that plot seems to have been forgotten for the sake of sing-along numbers - and notice how every scene with a musical number now looks like a potential single/music video!!

I liked this week's episode. Yes, it was a bit preachy and full of issues, but it didn't meander as much as some episodes have recently. I think the Kurt storyline is being handled well and it will be interesting to see what happens.

Also, Brittany should let her hair down (literally) and wear leather more often.

I thought this latest episode was absolutely cracking. I love Singin' In The Rain, so that helped, but the Mash Up between it and Rihanna's "Umbrella" was brilliant. I hope Gwyneth Paltrow becomes a semi-regular, as weird as that would be, cos her character is awesome. If only the substitute teachers I had were like her... *sigh*

I really enjoyed this week's episode too. Despite my protestations of stunt casting, I have to admit that Gwyneth Paltrow was fab. Her performance seems to have been well received and there are already rumours of her character returning.

Fun as the episode was, it still feels like the series isn't going anywhere, with minimal plot development here. Again.
Plus, where has Emma disappeared to?

I just watched the Rocky Horror episode again after the movie. Well worth seeing purely for Britany's Columbia, Quinn's Magenta and Emma singing Touch Me.

Songs were as boring as they have been since the Rocky show. But there was loads of plot development for a change. I thought the wedding scene was quite sweet and well choreographed. The worst parts were all the bits with Sue, which is the usual case (Although I did laugh at her wedding dress). It really missed Jayma Mays as well, again as usual.

Good episode this week. Absolutely no Sue and more Britney and Emma just what the show needed. But

This week's song selection was alright but I really like the fact the other kids got to sing this time. The dance between Britney and Mike was the highlight of the show.

I was, but I've handed in my notice.

I've put up with a lot from Glee these past two years. I've seen a fast paced, nicely written show breakdown half way through the first series and descend into giggling, incomprehensible shite, celeb pandering and bad acting. But even then I was willing to put up with it, because I like show tunes (when they actually feature, wish isn't often) and my son likes the music. However two weeks ago, after going 29 years of my life in happy ignorance, I was savagely, without warning or mercy, aurally assaulted by the music of Justin Beiber, and I threw in the towel. I shall Glee no more.

Ok, so I just caught up with the US this weekend.

I absolutely loved how they handled the whole Justin Bieber thing - I was literally rolling around in hysterics.
I was expecting them to be all po-faced about it but the really took the piss out of the whole Bieber fever thing.
Especially the hair!
