 Anyone else getting a little concerned by this escalation?

I understand how the N. Koreans have a habit of sabre-rattling foreplay but I cannot help but be concerned. Of course it could be a propoganda ruse on behalf of Ping-Pong Moo (is that his name?) brainwashing his subjects into believing he's a bad-ass, basically by throwing his 'weight' around and then pulling back at the last moment to try and prove they're not really the aggressors, but....

Feel like I should stock up on some cans...

 They do this every year. This is just Kim Jong-un asserting himself. Of course, his inexperience means it's going further than before, but I doubt he's stupid enough to try anything.

For one, N. Korea hasn't produced a nuclear warhead small enough to fit on a missile and all its weapon systems are woefully outdated compared to the US/South Korea/everyone else's.

They've even better photoshopping their military forces!

I wonder maybe you saw the footage a few weeks back released which showed a burning "New York" and missile attacks... which used footage from MW3?

In any case, i read a statement from NK officials last night. It was kindof ludicrous but also quite threatening. Like most people id hate to see anything come to fruition, not least because they cannot win, but i imagine there being an initial substantial loss of life... or maybe the talk of "nuclear" shit is just a little frightening.

Whilst you'd prefer not to hear states speaking the way they have been. I think it's more a posturing tactic in order to gain concessions from the international community than anything else. Having said that, there is a concern that a misunderstanding could escalate into something horrid.

Part of the problem is North Korea over the decades has isloted itself from the rest of the world. They don't know what going outside their borders or experience other cultures. It make me wonder of the North Koreans who are building up tensions, how many of them been outside North Korea or watch international news channels.
