I dont want to read this entire forum, so there is a probability/ possibility that this has already been brought up:

Enter The Dragon came out in 1973, 36 ago, that 16 years before Empire was born.

For the 20, think what it's made of - alternitively, think 'acorns'!

As for the crashed plane - the answer's in your question

The men with the kids
The CCC
The kickboxing cheerleaders.
The kid curled up on the floor
The man on the wire (which annoyingly doesnt seem to be man on a wire)
The man jumping infront of the train
The Train
5280Ft sign
The bird with the flower
The windmill.

Pi
Revolutionary Sci Fi film
War movie by the man with no name
Look at what's ON the plane
No idea

No Idea
No idea
It's not a wire but a line
What's the guy doing to the train!
No idea
What kind of bird is it.

1) What country is he from? and what is an ill person called when he is under care?
2) Certain kinds of lights often cause cars to stand still
3) This is not a nation for elderly people
4) What country is the HRH from? Do they have any more kings?

Just wanted to say thanks to you guys and gals!
On my first attempt I managed 42 (within the first 15 minutes no less...) and was feeling really smug and self satisfied.
However, over an hour later with no advancement I gave up and went web-surfing, only to have a mental revelation a few minutes after leaving as I couldn't stop thinking about the puzzle and returned to put my score up to 43... (It was the one with the car going into the dragon's mouth)
That was days ago.
I spent another few (fruitless) minutes today trying to come up with the goods but gave in and came here seeking clues.
Yes, I kicked myself a few times, but I finally completed the puzzle, thank's to you all.
I have to say though, the one that stumped me the most didn't seem to feature quite so heavily in the discussion.
The Windmill was the very last one I got.

Anyway, thanks again, it was a great puzzle, I hope Empire does something similar in the future.

Gordon

Oh Incidentally, I hadn't even spotted the bird with the flower in it's beak up in the top right corner of the screen until I came to this forum.
I had been wondering where the last couple of clues were hiding!
Cheers, and have a great Summer!

FINALLY 50/50 - Never heard of the one with the bell/butterfly, but quite pleased with myself all the same!!  What is the score with regards to the dragon? Been out a lot longer than empire has it not?

maryland, I have just come in to say the same thing about Enter The Dragon, misleading. You should be ashamed of never having heard of 'the one with the bell'. OK, maybe you shouldn't, but you should see it

That was fun!  I managed to get to about 43 on my own which I was quite proud of - thanks to everyone for your tips for the last few!  The cheerleaders, blokes with the kids,'CCC' and the flower had me stumped.

Thank you all for your clues which have helped me reach 49/50. I cannot for the life of me find the clue for number 50! I have checked the posts for clues, double counted, no luck. Does anyone have a complete A to Z list so that I can compare mine against? Thanks.

I like the non-spoiler cryptic clues people are giving. I'm at 39. Here's my clues for those I have

The bi-plane has had a...
CCC - This would be Maximus Decimus Meridius's favorite file
The Windmill - Parlez vous Francais?
20 Yrs - What's it and what's it made from?
5280 Ft - A colorful distance
The tube train person is an anorak
The large carton - say what you see
The chocolate - Roy Walker again!
The Cars - one word car term
Man on ladder - what's he removing?
The Saint George Stretcher: Focus on the health of the person on it
The Flags: Who's are they?
The Turrets: Both of them - not the man in the middle
Woman dropping....
Woman (with company) in Pool - Do you really need me to tell you!
Decimal No on side: What number is it?
The Spring Board: French My Left foot
Symbolic Circle: Collective term for signs
The Grid: Take a pill and free your mind
The instruments: It's not a Jim Carey film!
Infant with price tag: Boxing Hilary!
The Vampire: Tom has ham with Rice
Wolverine Walking - It's a cash-in musical
Red Line: It's not fat, is it?
The Winged Serpent: Bruce is driving the car
The Anchor: Too obvious for words!
The Iron: Ok! I can fly!
Woman with books: Did you see a sign on my lawn that said Non-factual Genre Destruction!
Empire Plane: What scared Indy?
Black Bird: Brandon! Duck!
The Other Bird: Bad "Enemy Of The State" knock-off
Roman Warrior: CCC's biggest fan!
Smiling Ankles: Oh George! From Road Warrior to this!
Too easy! Digital Dog, Wood-cutting horror, Informative fittings
No Entry Sign: Not A Place For Cormac McCarty Wrinklies
Coat Hanger: Williams Grows Down.

Hope this helps and doesnt spoil!
Mike

"fiendish"(clue about the 3 cheerleaders), Empire? fiendish? try "WRONG".
if youre going to make us type Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for a clue, then you need to make the clue fit the title. your answer to the 3 cheerleaders clue isnt, in fact, the movie's title. and it has zero to do with the depicted clue: cheerleaders. (ex: there's a lord shown for "LORD..."). be consistent.
the recent monster movie from Abrams clue doesnt properly display a box most of the time.
the woman dropping an object from the tower isnt much of a clue either, since the answer has ONLY to do with the object. again, be consistent. if youre going to be literal, then BE LITERAL.

one more thing. never use that software again. that moving picture, doesnt show the edges software is awful.

Just taken about three hours to complete this nightmare quiz!  Really good though! The graph thingie and the cheerleaders had me beaten until I went away had my tea and came back and looked again - it was obvious then!   More please Empire!

Hi guys,
I've managed 44 out of 50 so far. The remaining ones:
The red biplane with the Empire banner (is it two different ones?)
The two guitar-like musical instruments at the giant water tank
The windmill
The kickboxing cheerleaders
The strange creature under one of the cheerleaders (I really don't know what can be seen in that part of the picture, it looks like a man kneeling in a black box) Can somebody help exactly what is depicted there in the picture?

However, it is stated by EmpireOnline that "the films included all date from within the last 20 years". However, one of the answers is the movie "Enter the Dragon" which is from 1973, and that is not from within the last 20 years.
