 That's great for you ED, how did you get them, were you trying for long?

I just found it weird that usually if there's a lot of people trying to get tickets, and bearing in mind the capacity is around 23,000, then you have to wait on Ticketmaster. Instead i got through immediately a couple of minutes before they were supposed to go on sale and yet all i could get were upper tier. I tried quite a few times after that and got through immediately each time only to get upper tier again and then be told they were sold out.

 Even the people on Muse's messageboards found it impossible to get tickets!

Like I said, just wait till next year. They'll probably announce UK stadium dates.

Got them off seetickets.com I think... was on at half 8, got them at 9.04 or something. I'm surprised it was so hard for you lot, I got them very easily.

 OK folks I know where the O2 Arena tickets disappeared to... and you won't like it!

I was in London this weekend and saw my mate who is really into his music scene and has friends in the know and all that. Anyway, turns out there was a private presale from Weds - Thurs which sold out. However, some bright spark switched the ticketing system off but then somehow managed to switch it back on and allocate the same amount of presale tickets again. They sold out too, hence why you haven't got any decent tickets for general sale last Friday... They all went to music industry types and private parties!!!

Sorry guys!!  I still don't know what happened to the Sheffield tickets but I'm wondering if a similar thing has happened!?

i am a huge fan of Muse. matt bellamy is an outstanding lyricist and they put on a great live show. knights of cydonia and time is running out are a few of my favorites.did anyone see on youtube matt bellamy interview with alex jones talking about the new world order, false flag operations, and his appreciation of the documentary "terrorstorm"

I do love Muse and I'm very much looking forward to the new album and the concert. But the songs Olaf's quoted, that reeks of pretentiousness or something . Why don't they just stick to being a very good rock band, instead of giving us pretence of something more with fancy titles?

Of course, if they do manage to do something as different and brilliant as Radiohead following up Pablo Honey with Bends and OK Computer, I will eat my words.

If I'm being honest, I think they've already done that - I'd argue that Origin Of Symmetry was their The Bends, and Absolution (still their best album) was their OK Computer. BH&R (did I say that I didn't like it?) was their Kid A in a way, in that it changed the band's musical direction, but I don't like comparing it to Kid A cos it was rubbish But yeah, Exogenesis is a horrible name for a song, let alone some sort of three-part rock opera. I don't mind Muse indulging their proggier side (see again, Absolution) but I wish they'd ditch the orchestral bombast and all the overblown stuff that blighted the last one and make a really good album without them, which they've already proved twice that they can.

Though that's what i thought about Exo-politics, yet that turned out to be the best song on the album.

Yeah, but they haven't progressed as Radiohead did; it was all the same sound at its core, despite being better than the previous album. Sometimes their proggier side comes out, but it's never as different as a rock opera. If this turns out to be Bohemian Rhapsody though... much love will be required.

 Ah, I get you now. That said, their sound developed between Showbiz and OoS but you're definitely right in saying that it's been the same basic sound up until now. A full concept album (see.. oh, you know) is up there with a rock opera on the Proggiest Stuff Ever™ scale though.

Never really got them tbh. C&C are a great band though.

 Off that album, Take A Bow, Starlight, MotP and KoC are all great. I don't really rate the rest though.

 Attention all muse fans, check the official website to hear a snippet from United States of Eurasia.  Its part of an ongoing treasure hunt, they've unlocked about a minute of the song so far.  At the moment it feels an odd choice to introduce fans to the new material since it kind of reminds me of the softer moments from Absolution.  Hope it will get better

And Uprising is going to be the new single!!!

 I completely agree.  Definitely screams Bohemian Rhapsody, but the eastern arrangements also remind me of Inneuendo.  I like Queen and everything, and although Muse have their similarities, they are supposed to be Muse, they don't need to emulate Queen.  It just sounds like a tounge in cheek rip off, which I thought Muse would be above.  I am starting to feel a bit of concern for the next record.  But then I didn't really like Supermassive Black Hole when I first heard first it because it sounded like Prince.  At the same time, it grew on me and it is one of my favorite additions to their live set.  I will reserve complete judgement when I hear the full song I think. 

But that guitar sound...  You'd have thought Brian May had walked in.  I'd have thought Matt Bellamy was a reputable guitar god in his own right.

 I like it.  Simple, epic, colourful, with a bit of space thrown in.  Its no Absolution but better than BHAR.  Looks like its going to be more of a hopeful album.
