I can't believe 'Ocean's 13' (above) got four stars - the same as Star Trek...

Pacino's recent run of films have been somewhat concerning - Righteous Kill, 88 Minutes, Two For The Money, The Recruit, Simeone were all pretty poor. His last good film was Insomnia.

This does sound more promising. They've got a good writer on board, now they need to approach someone who can actually direct, i.e. not Jon Avnet.

Problem is will he also shout. A lot. And emphasise. Odd. Words.

Of course he will. He seems to have forgotten how to talk at normal volume. Perhaps he's gone deaf in his old age.

The Insider was his last great performance, though.

Would Al Pacino play a convincing father figure? Hmmm, in his days now, i dont think so, unless he resolves back to the Godfather days. The last movie he was good in was Insomnia, i agree with mattdavies.
