I didn't think the 3rd series was as good as the 2nd (which was awesome) but the show really knows how to build it up for the last few episodes. Fantastically effective set up for series 4 as well.

Nice to see Katey Sagal win a Golden Globe earlier this year for her role in the show. SOA has a really solid all round cast.

Finished tonight:

Sons of Anarchy - Season 2
I thought the second season was better than the first. The pacing is better devided through the episodes, making it (in that area) a bit slower than the first season. The characters get more depth and it`s pretty clear that the cast find their way with the characters better and become more of a unity with them. The strong storylines have more drama and are more intriguing than the first season. The music lyrically fit better in the whole more and more and complete a perfect second season.

9,0/10

Finished yesterday

Sons of Anarchy - Season 3
The third season of this biker drama show wasn`t as good as the brilliant second season.
The storylines with the Irish were stretched out too long and didn`t interest me at all times. Often I was glad the story shifted back to Charming.
Nonetheless it was an exciting season and the last few episodes were really strong, with a brilliant climax in the season`s finale.
I`ve watched 3 seasons in a week and a half so you could say I got addicted to Sam Crow.
Why do we have to wait untill september for season 4 to arrive??

8,5/10

Harsh! Was a fairly slow and sombre episode till that carnage at the end! Wonder who it was? The Aryans? Mayans? Gonna be interesting this.

The second episode was quite poor and far too complicated.  If you don't know everyones name it's hard to follow.  Hope this isn't gonna go downhill...

Nice weird cameo for Stephen King.

What a shame, Sons Of Anarchy is going downhill.  Gemma leaving her family behind to see her grandson, (and fainting) was beyond ridiculous.  It must be hard to keep churning out stories season after season. The storyline with her father has bored me to tears.

That's even worse

Either way this isn't a patch on series 1 and 2, the standard was so high it was bound to slip eventually.

She has a heart attack because someone stole her grandson? Lame.  It was so melodramatic, just the way it was filmed.  She fell to the ground and they all rushed towards her (you have to see it, I'm not explaining it very well.)

She wouldn`t be the only one who has a heart attack if her grandchild is abducted.
Don`t understand why that would be lame or melodramatic

People have heart attacks because there's something medically wrong with them.  Heart Disease, blocked tubes etc... I don't buy into the storyline.

Incidents like that cán set a heart attack in motion, as can stress etc.etc.
That you don`t buy into that story line is something different, this specific thing can happen for real.

Either way, Gemma's story-lines have been poor this year.  Bringing her father into the show was unnecessary.  I watch three US shows (at the moment), Dexter and Supernatural are having better seasons.  What are your thoughts on S3 GF? Do you like it?

Agree on all of that, I didn`t really like the Gemma-father story line.
My thoughts on season 3:

The third season? it does. Once they get back from Belfast it gets better again. Didn`t really like the whole Belfast-connection storyline.
