Real cinematic, good story. I disagree with most of the below post. 4 is far from "meh"

WHY? well why is because the game is very successful and of course how most producers think is how much more successful a film would be, as the truth is its not always (and especially about this) about making a good film but making money from the deluded fans who will want to see this.
Guitar hero tv show? ridiculous.
Cod film? whats it going to be about; 'this summer, witness 10 friends from around the globe, pun all da nubs'

....is quietly sneaking up behind your mate in multiplayer and stabbing them in the back (what are friends for?). I'm not sure how the fun of stabbing/blowing the living shit out of your mates can be transferred to a movie. I mean, you could slap the title Call of Duty on the front of any war movie. Sounds like a dubious excuse to make money off a mediocre war film to me. Prove me wrong.

Indeed, the benchmark for shooters now IMO.

Would make a shaft film though

if they were going to make a film of the COD, it should be CoD4 i reckon, because they really dont have to change much from the game, and the campaign is like an interactive film in a way if u think about it.

Lets just say some games should be left as just that-games. They were never originally intended to be film-adaptable. I cant see how they would transfer CoD to a film, not only that though; why? Saving Private Ryan is an amazing WW2 film and I don't think anyone is going to op that anytime soon. Nope, this is going to be a flopper for sure.

When are these people going to come to their senses and bring Fantasy World Dizzy to the silver screen.

I'm still holding out for a movie of Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

I think I might be holding out for a little longer yet though.

I forget, did they publish COD4? 'Cos if so, brilliant. I love COD4 so damn much. Would love to see Price and Gaz on the big screen. That game made me cry sex-tears. Story mode all the way.

A World War 2 film, based on a game based on WW2 films. That will be good.

theres no hard plot to COD, so what is the plot gonna be in the film? making a film of COD, all you have to do is set it in WW2 and glorify Americans. ..

Agreed. The other Call of Dutys have little in the way of plot but Modern Warfare has a cracking story!

I also think that it should be based on COD4 as it has one hell of a good storyline to it, also it will be nice to see the SAS on a big budget film because its always the US Special Forces on big budget war films these days
