Can i go for an alotment ? Think about it. Loads of food and open space so you can see them coming. You have a shed to protect you from male zombies as they know they are not allowed to enter another mans shed without permission and women zombies would never go in as there is spiders. Also loads of sharp tools and you still have the opportunity to dig yourself an escape tunnel.

i've worked this out with my brothers, firstly, 5 minute run up the road to the motorbike shop, get me a fat...excuse me...a Phat ride, cruise down to the gun shop,

The Gun Shop?

I think panicky/gangs of looters may also be a problem. They may also have to be put down to stop them from stealing my supplies, ammo, cool trench coat....

believe or not there is a gun shop opposite dansun park in crook log (think its mainly air guns but hey have got some meaty shotguns in there)
an yes i agree with all the 'guns are unweildy (sp) an bullets run out' but sometimes you need a bit of crowd control
i have a crowbar hanging on my bedhead at all times in case, i also have a ebay bought grppling hook so i can escape to the rooftops, then use my sniper rifle (gun shop again) to pick em off one by one

Forget the prison. I'd actually be inclined to stay in the open. In a field somewhere, always have a few people on guard to alert the sleeping of any approaching undead. Could work for as long as our fuel lasted, use the cars/vans for a peremeter and as we're not trapped anywhere a getaway shouldn't be too much trouble.

A 'circle the wagons' approach. I like it.

Out in the middle of nowhere, so you can see those shuffling bastards coming a mile off.

At what point would 'converting' vechicles start?

Only problem would be supplies. Hunting would become a must, but I guess you'd have to put together a raiding party to hit towns and cities for food and other supplies. This could be when it turns ugly, as other survivors might not be willing to share their findings with other people.

Bein out in the open for long periods is a definite no no, even with ya 'circling wagons' ethos. Think about it: Zombies are drawn together. The longer it goes on the bigger the zombie groups. What you gonna do when you got 500 zombies running at you through ya field? Sure you can see em from a mile off but you ain't got ya self a fortress no more. you gotta escape agin but it might be too late this time. You need to find a fortress early on so no other 'norms' take it and it don't get infested with them there zombies.

Good point. A non-zombie mechanic/ engineer is a must in these situations. All I got is my wits and leadership skills.

Probably wouldn't stay in the same place for longer than a week anyhow. Look... you lead your people however you want to but this is my way of doing things. If my peeps don't like it they can go your way and live on your island and start inbreeding.

Oh shit, I just started the first War of the Survivors.

Go ahead. Get yourself killed. Your pride will be your undoing again.

But if any of your crew want to join mine then the doors open. I'm just sayin...

Of course when winter rears its ugly head I'd have to lead my people to someplace warm and secure. I wonder if Timon's Clan has room in that castle....

I used to be a mechanic and did work on lgv's, vans and cars. Also can use MIG ans GAS welders. Oh and can fit a kick ass stereo. Also pretty good with a spray can for that montage scene with putting name of new vehicle creation on side.

You got to head north people.... zombies freeze in the extreme cold which at least gives you some respite for the winter months.
In the absence of fire arms or "exotic" weapons such as shaolin spades, katanas etc i think my primary hand to hand would be a big meaty sharpend spade allowing decpatitation at a distance. I would obviously have a knife and crowbar to hand as well....

For the short term fine but if you get surrounded by hundreads if not thousands of zombies and the fuel runs out your just canned food.

I'll be travelling to and from my castle fortress in this bad boy, looking for supplies, survivors and such.

I'm imagining it being very much like Christian Bale's stronghold in Reign of Fire and if they can hold out against dragons, we're sorted against zombies.

mmm possibly.... so the perfect zombie killing weapon requires a one hit kill, reach so you dont have to get too close to the zombie or his undead brethren..its fine taking one down but what of the one next to him and light enough to move easily with. I think we are looking mediaeval here with swords and the like. Obviously the katana is great but try getting hold of a real one....the replicas will just break on the first zombie skull and then your screwed...

Timon, its proposition time. In return for shelter during the winter months, me and my crew offer goods and supplies that we gather during our travels. We also offer ourselves, as friends, companions, lovers and allies incase of attack from other survivors/zombies.

What say you?

To a DRAGON! It flew and everything.

BUT they'd held out for years before then. Plus my moat would be filled with flammable liquids so should a large group of zombies surround by abode.... zombie bbq. The group's taken out in one blow.

You're too weak to lead! You shouldn't be asking permission to board, whoring off your women and giving away your food. You should find your own place or take his by force! Down with Timon and his puny castle!
