Love these films, although the first one stands on its own by a country mile. I want the Never Sleep Again Doc, is it available on region 2 or multi region???

As far as I know it's just R1 and quite pricey too. If some one can point me to where it's less than a tenner, I'd appreciate it!

Yep, just had a look! Was 20 last time I checked!

Also, it looks like it may be coming to R2, but only 1 disc:

Really tempted by this but I've spent a good 35 on DVD's this month when I can't really afford to.

But then I did get a tax rebate from my old car....

Do they come in Converse too? I don't fancy switching to Chav.

Had a pair in a different style and they are good comfy trainers. Just my style. Flamboyant skatey type shoes

EDIT: I read somewhere that they are the first in a line paying tribute to slasher icons.

They are so cool! I'm actually tempted to snare 'em myself. But then I'd have to get the 'Boba Fett' ADIDAS also....

I much prefer these to any of the Adidas Star Wars range. Though the Fett ones are pretty cool...

Just orered the remake on Blu Ray. It's dropped in price quite considerably since it's release. It's always great where there are films noonbe likes but me, cos then i can get them really cheap. I only saw the remake once so far, on dl and really liked it, so looking forward to checking out the Blu Ray.

I was keen to see it so bought it in a double with the original. Normally I'm not as critical when it comes to remakes and the sort and go in with an open mind. It was OK. I guess. It just wasn't Nightmare. And while I think Jackie Earl-Haley did an OK job, there really is only one man for the job, however I didn't sit there thinking 'not Freddy'.

One thing I thought the remake didn't do very well was blur the lines between dreaming and reality. That's what made the original so effective. You could be asleep and not know it. In the remake everything would go dark and turn to ash, or have blurred edges etc. It just didn't add any fear because you already knew they were dreaming.

I wouldn't have said all the characters were likeable, but, I wasn't arsed if they got killed all that much either.

Saying that, I don't think it was crap, just a bit unnecessary.

This arrived today!

I look forward to watching it at some point, but probably not today. The only region free player is in the living room and the wife is off work. It isn't her cup of blood. Can't wait to watch it.

Is the NSA featurette on the Blu-ray of the original a condensed version of this? As that only scratched the surface and was a very good watch.

I'll get it eventually. 14 for glorified DVD extras that I can't even watch upscaled on my PS3 is ridiculous. Will wait until it arrives on R2 so I can't pick it up for a couple of quid.

I got "Never Sleep Again" when it was first released with a poster signed by Heather Langenkamp. I'm pretty sure that despite saying Region 1 on the disc its actually region free.

It was under a tenner at Amazon. Took a couple of weeks to arrive (with 4 bank holidays inbetween) but it's worth it.

And since when has a documentary been glorified DVD extras? The main feature is over 2 hours long!

I'm surprised you're not a fan of the original, DK. Probably one of my favourite horror movies.

I watched Never Sleep Again, today along with some of the extras. I'm glad I had the day off work as you really need one to watch this! 2 minutes shy of being 4 hours long!

It's rather unbiased and the interviewees are not afraid to rip into some of the lamer aspects of the films, it is a superb doc and an occasionally rose tinted walk back down Elm Street, from the Original through to Freddy Vs Jason. There is mention of the remake, but not a good word is said, so they were best left as extras for the second disc.

There are some decent featurettes on disc 2 but don't hold a candle next to the exhaustive main feature. I doubt there's a stone left unturned in the doc which is very insightful and honest. And very good. If you like Freddy, get this.
