I remember watching this on Channel 4 ages ago, and it made me feel physically sick.

And the Asian kid getting eaten and then blowing up for some reason horrified me for days.

this is such a good film its got to be watched if you have never seen it before

and you will have the extreme pleasure of the "twist" from 'road movie' to something...else

this pleasure cannot be recreated on further viewings because its so unexpected, but on further viewings you CAN experience the other pleasures of this awesome film which included the script, the cast, the subtle details and references, the stunts, the style and of course Cheech Marin

CLOONEY!! (best role in his career?)

This film showed how good an actor Tarantino can be.

I think that for a film this insane, Keitel gave the best performance as 'Jacob'.

LOOOOOOONG overdue a viewing of this classic! Gotta be done soon I'm afraid - still no word of a blu-ray?

Have to disagree there.QT just cant act.He only plays himself. He should stay behind and the camera and just write and direct.

Earlier today I watched Mr. Rodriguez's short film 'Black Mamba' featuring Kobe Bryant, Danny Trejo, Kanye West and Bruce Willis - Funny! That's one of the things I dig about RR, he still enjoys fun little projects and has enough clout to invite his 'famous buddies' to join in once in a while. It's a shame Mr. Clooney has become so 'serious' these days, I'd love to see the return of Seth Gecko.

Any love for the two sequels out of the two of them three the Hangman's Daughter is the best I remember hating the first sequel Texas Blood Money have the box set with them all in but have only watched the 3rd film have seen the first one its a little slow however once they get to the vampire part of the film is really wild.

Yeah, Hangman's Daughter is pretty good for a sequel. Far superior to Texas Blood Money, without a doubt.

I haven't seen the sequels - too many people I know told me they were crap. Normally, I make up my own mind but the knowledge that RR and QT weren't realy involved puts me off. FDTD is too much of a classic fave of mine to be tarnished by inferior sequels.

I watched this on telly recently for the first time in ages and while it's still a whole lot of fun I found Clooney's performance really annoying. I think when I was younger I was too busy revelling in the gore and stuff to realise what a total cunt his character is.

Nah, watch them. The original will still be the original, but like has been said above, the third one is far better than the dissapointing second.
I haven't seen the third for years but if I remember right there's a fab bit where someone on a coachhorse gets shot in the face. I slow-forwarded (or whatever it's called ) it so could watch the back of their head fly off

Anyway, the original is great, saw it at the cinema not really knowing what to expect. Still, I would say it is Tatantino's best acted film, but that's a bit like saying what's the best time you pooed yourself.
Don't know if anyone used to play Unreal tournamant but there used to be a map which was the Titty Twister and car-park. You could run through all the rooms inside killing people

Snake-Eyes has THAT speech set as a ringtone on his Blackberry phone. It's soooo funny when I get a call whilst I'm in some crowded public place; the reactions and looks on people's faces are priceless!

I saw that movie years ago, yet it lingers on.  It is one of those rare movies that can truly be called unforgettable.   I did sit through the first half expecting something like Pulp Fiction (which I loved).  It then took me completely by surprise by turning into the perfect little horror movie.  Great experience! It deserves to be featured in this forum.

I only saw it for the first time the other month. Tarantino is a dreadful actor and the subplot about rape is gratuitous and unpleasant, but everything else about the film is fantastic. It's a really compact, punchy, thriller-turned-vampire-bloodbath, with great performances from Keitel, Clooney and Lewis, and super-stylised weapons that make fighting the undead look like a good way to spend an evening.
