There is a movie called Curled about a woman who cleans up murder sites. In one scene you can see a news segment on a TV about the Gecko brothers escape!

I so want to marry Salma Hayek in this movie (only before she goes all evil and bitey, mind).

Absolutely bloody gorgeous!

Don't worry, Snake, looks like sarkark21 thinks he's a bit of a comedian

I'm passionately in love with those pics of Salma Hayek I posted above.

The hair, the lips, the chest, those hips ... yum yum yum!

On a different note, I always thought the lad who played Harvey Keitel's son was absolutely awful in this. Just like Hannah in 28 Days Later. Out of all the talented wannabe actors out there, why do they hire these no-goodniks?

Oh yeah, it's a toss-up between pre-vamp Santanico Pandemonium and Carolina in Desperado....

I didn't think Ernest Liu was that bad, to be honest. I think he has his moments in the film.

A fine stlish romp, with a wonderful change in pace in the final third, I love George Clooneys snappy role(he does not do these down troden parts enough) as well as Havey Kirtel playing against type and Lewis as brillent as ever.

This film really was Rodriguez displaying the very best of his abilities and was, in a way, like a prototype GRINDHOUSE.

Currently sits at No. 7 in Snake-Eyes' TOP TEN FAVOURITE FILMS EVER.

I liked this film but thought George Clooney and especially Quentin Tarantino(he just can act) were miscast as the crooks.Would have been better with Michael Madsen playing QTs role.

Nothing but love for Dusk til Dawn.
I particularly revel in the confusion die hard QTphiles experience when it stops being men in black suits talking really fast.

The 'What If?" game is what movies are about and this is one of my my favourites. Great fun.

Cheech's Pussy speech. Also, not enough respect given to the 90's "issue girl" Juliette Lewis. Her acting during the Santanica dance is just legendary. Fred's 'Nam moment.
...and "Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them. I don't care how crazy they are!"

The best Star Wars film was directed by a 55 year old journeyman. Mental isn't it?

That is an interesting list-what a weekend in that would be!
Are they genuinely your top ten,or did you deliberately spread the genres around for balance?
The only film i don't like is From Dusk Till Dawn!
Mine would be:
1:Before Sunset/Sunrise(i'm counting it as one movie!)
2:The Mission
3:Schindlers List
4:Saving Private Ryan
5:AnchorMan
6:Gladiator
7:The Mist
8:Dead Poets Society
9:Amazing Grace
10:Leon

I always liked the fact that Rodriguez referred to EVIL DEAD II during the making of this film - to the point that he even asked the KNB guys for a look through the raw FX footage from 1986.

Madsen would have been too brash for the role, the role is supposed to be inward, awkard with both himself and social situations, there is no way Madsen could have brought that to the table. MM is a talented actor, not just for this role, don't get me wrong, QT was hardly oscar worthy himself, however, the reflected character with Clooney works better with QT than MM would have done, he and Clooney would have come off as being too similar.

Brilliant film, I have it on VHS, I should really get it on DVD. I noticed you can get the trilogy box set for under a tenner but the sequels get slated!

The seconds one a bit naff but I kind of like the third one. Good prequel although it can't touch the original.

KATE: "Seth... are you ok?"

SETH: "I'm peachy Kate. The world is my oyster. Except for the fact that.... that I just drove a stake through my brother's heart becuse he turned into a Vampire. But apart from that... unfortunate business, everything is hunky-dory."
