 There's a brilliant little detail I just noticed - just before the Rocky / Drago fight, just as the Russian National Anthem plays, there are a few close-up shots of the two fighters' eyes as they watch each other; in my mind, it's like they both know it ain't nothing to do with nations or flags - just about the two of them. AWESOME.

That was pretty obvious to me on my first viewing and im sure to everyone else! I remember watching this film as a kid and Drago scared the shit out of me!

 Have my blu ray boxset but keeping my dvd box set because it is a pull out edition in sepia which is really cool. Saying that I still have two different sets of vhs versions of Rockys I - V that I'm keeping even though I dont even own a video recorder anymore!

Nothing like a Rocky IV montage in Blu Ray baby!!!!!

I can see how it would annoy people. I watched Rocky IV about 3 or 4 years ago and I had forgotten how incredibly racist it is. I know there were cold war shenanigans going on, and the Russkies spent many decades being portrayed as the bad guy, but honestly, can you really watch it and support Rocky in this film?
He comes over more arrogant than David Haye.

 Why not? It's still Rocky, the underdog, versus a supposedly superhuman opponent.

That's why the Rocky films work so well.

I actually prefer it to the original version, think it gives it an even more epic feel.

As much as I love Rocky IV, I hate that fucking robot

I feel like it's Lundgren Season or something. A week or so ago I was watching Expendables 2 in the cinema, yesterday I was watching Universal Soldier: Regeneration, and now Rocky IV is on ITV4 again.
