ORIGINAL: explodercide Not a fan of subjects that are as broad as Cheese, or Kitchen Appliances / Utensils. Prefer it to be a bit more limited, I think the Arnold thread has proven that limited subjects can produce quality results. WWF / Pro Wrestling Sylvester Stallone Hanna Barbera cartoons Burt Reynolds Trotters Independant Traders firstly, how can you dislike a broader topic? there are no disadvantages. it means there are loads more funny entries, and as an individual you can produce more. secondly, i know nothing about: - Hanna Barbera cartoons - Burt Reynolds - Trotters Independant Traders and very little about: - WWF / Pro Wrestling - Sylvester Stallone Hanna Barbera are behind a lot of popular cartoons including The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, and Top Cat. (It really is quite a broad topic) Trotters Independant Traders is basically just Only Fools and Horses. WWF / Pro Wrestling, nearly everyone knows Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant. Most people will have some kind of knowledge of wrestling, even if it is just half memories from childhood. As for Stallone and Reynolds ... well ... it is a website for a film magazine ... I would guess a lot of the people on here are film fans in one way or another, and stallone and reynolds are pretty big names. I've enjoyed the more limited topics, I think people have been a bit more creative with them. Not saying the topics have to be ultra restrictive, just that it's nice when every topic isn't as broad as "things that start with the letter "e" in it's name". empire won't be keen to choose such narrow topics after the poor turnout for the whedon topic. if its cartoons, something such as looney-tunes or disney may be better as they're more well known.
