 some really great suggestions here - i dont care what the subject is or whether i understand or know much about it, (i love wiki!!!) i just like to mash.
but my suggestions (dont think they've been said yet) are;

1. TV shows 'The Movie' (example: Richard & Judy - The Motion Picture) would be fun thinking of tag lines too - "they came, they saw, they chatted about reasonably priced scatter cushions".

2. changing the genre of a movie through font, colour, actors, filters etc.

this one is not as easy as simply mashing and would require more 'artistry' from the mashers so might not be appropriate.

i don't see why not. as long as the mashups aren't mocking the religions (it would be hard to acheive that in a mashup anyway), and are just humerous becasue of the pun on the title then no offence should result. also, most religions teach tolerance, and practicioners are supposed to view the world calmly and rationally. It is easy to see that these posters are not designed to insult religions and are just funny because they play around with the words.


Of course all  religions teach tolerance but in our current political climate where widespread riots are caused by a cartoon in a newspaper I don't think it would be a wise choice for empire. Now I would have no problem doing The Buddha, The Bad and The Ugly but I wouldn't advise doing When Harry Met Allah.

And I want to make it known that I meant no offense by my comments, peace out.
