ORIGINAL: borstal Battlefield 1943 for XBLA http://uk.xboxlive.ign.com/articles/981/981825p1.html Fuck me, the visuals in that arcade game are better than about 70% of retail games available at the moment. The lack of maps is a bit off putting, but the destructable environment coupled with the gameplay on offer make this seem like a likely purchase, however I can see it costing at least 1200 points. It looks great. But there are only a few maps. I saw an interview saying that one map can last for a-g-e-s. Not sure how this works. Is it somthing akin to L4D's director? Or were they simply stating they are giving people the best maps so why add 5 sub standard ones that no one else would reall play anyway? I am pretty sure it has been confirmed as 1,200 points so I am not sure about taking the plunge. I may just buy/rent Battlefield Bad Company as I did enjoy the demo of that. Looking forward to a lot of XBLA games. I have about 4,600 points to spend and no money comming in for now! So I have to pick and chose. I was having trouble with the update for awhile and could not even download the demo of Sam & Max. Got the demo yesterday and it was ok. How is everyone finding it? Ign's review was not great. A 6.9? I still want to play it but maybe it will be worth renting it on the Wii instead? It is a 1,600 point game too so that was a bit of a shock. It was one of the games I was looking forward to but may just wait to see what the summer of arcade has to offer.
