AMY... I've got the demo... i've played some of the demo... it's a like a substandard RE with really shite combat controls. Graphics ain't too bad for an arcade game and i'm sure with more attention to detail it could have been great. BUT this demo suggests the developers gave up halfway...  To be fair, it's not the worst game i've ever played by a long stretch but DON'T waste your credits on purchasing it!

Has anyone downloaded The Darkness II demo yet?? Should be up on Live today... not had chance to check yet though!

UPDATE: The Darkness II Demo downloaded and completed!!

It gives you a very nice taster of the upcoming game, some of the new systems and the new visual style is great but I do wonder if more darkness(!!) would have been more atmospheric - it's certainly going for a different feel! Oh and the ending to this demo is fantastically gruesome.

Seriously looking forward to the full game... Roll on 10th Feb!

I saw a video of Darkness II earlier. It looked like it was cell shaded but will have a better look when I play the demo. I've got it queued, but just haven't put the xbox on today.

Played on the Darkness II demo last night and was very impressed. I'm not 100% convinced on the art style but everything was highly polished and it was a real blast tearing people up and eating hearts

The daily mail would have a field day - it was very gruesome - but very well done. This is on my list to buy now...

Hey folks i'm a relative newbie to XBox Live and was tinkering about through the various menus last night... Does anyone have the Facebook app installed? Is it any good? And how secure is it considering there's no virus software installed on my system (or is there!?). I was thinking about downloading the free app but then remembered the PS3 hacking scandal of last year/2010 (can't recall which year). Any advice/info appreciated!

I don't know anything about it's security but to be honest the app itself isn't great. It's a bit ugly and clunky and I dont think it has full functionality. It might be handy if you have someone over and wanted to show them photos on the big screen but other than that, for me anyway it's pointless. Nothing wrong with it being there, other people might find it handy, I just don't.

yeah what Tal said.

Take a look on the last page of the 360 thread for security issues.

As for FB, its ok, I dont think ist particularly vunerable to hacking it just isnt very good. For photos you are prob better just streaming them from your PC.

Just discovered this gem...
Deadlight

Supposed to be Shadow Complex mixed with Left for Dead.  Be keeping an eye on that, need some more metroidvania style games.

Another Arcade triple to be released on disc. This time it's ones I don't own. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/ubisoft-digital-triple-pack-due-in-march/090077

It started out as a full retail game, but kind of disappeared. Now it's back as an XBLA title. Promising premise, just hope the delays don't mean that it sucks...

I've been following it recently. I just hope it's not released episodically. But that and Deadlight both look like must haves.

That looks like it could be brilliant, but its early days cant believe they are showing arcade game trailers 4 months ahead of release date. Has anyone tried Trine 2?

Bastion is this weeks deal at 600msp

Think I might download the trial before commiting to the purchase. Can anyone recommend this?

I bought Bastion during the countdown to new year sale. to be honest I'm finding it a bit laborious and after initially really enjoying it - its got old pretty fast. Looks and sounds great but not much substance if you ask me.

Check out the trial first as it doesnt really change much throughout the game...

Logged into the store for the first time since the Dashboard Update.  Got excited to see Sonic CD.

However, is there any way to just see the arcade/indie games?  Everything seems to be all chucked in together now with the full xbox games and stuff.

Warp
Alan Wakes American Nightmare
Nexuiz
I am Alive

Buy all three during the promotional period and get 800 points back.

I'm probably only interested in Alan Wake and possibly I am Alive? The latter been due for awhile hasn't it? Was meant to be a full retail game. Hmmmm. Not heard of warp or nexuiz ...

Got a shed load of XBLA to play as it is so will probably wait till their cheap too.

I'll be getting Alan Wake and I am Alive. Couldn't care less about the other 2. Typically, with them being the only ones I want, they're 1200 each!
