I haven't seen SKYLINE yet. Just noticed PAYCHECK - that was a pretty decent film.

Paycheck, ah it's been a while. I remember that having some quite good actin moments, but being disappointed overall. It felt like a step down action wise from a lot of previous John Woo stuff. It felt choppy as well, as a lot was cut out in post I believe.

True - it wasn't as 'Woo-esque' as I would've liked.

Godzilla 1998, Eight Legged Freaks, The Abyss (James Cameron best film now he's making crap like avatar), Big Trouble in Little China ( Yes it flopped whats wrong with the world), Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Gremilns 2:The New Batch ( Again another great film that did not do well at the box office), Mimic, Poseidon 2006, Serenity, Stealth.Monsters vs Alien did not do well enough to get a sequel which is a shame because it great.

I remember quite enjoying Ishtar many moons ago but have never seen it since..

The 1976 version of King Kong is often regarded as a flop but I think it did OK financially (just not as much as was expected) and I like it, despite some dodgy kong model effects.

The Iron Giant bombed in America and is a wonderful film.

And reading about Elizabeth Taylor's passing reminded me that Cleopatra went down like piss on chips at the time, but is a fabulous film to look at and watched through modern eyes the Burton Taylor dynamic is fascinating.

Heavens Gate is no where near as bad as it's reputation.

The Abyss wasnt a flop,it just underperformed in comparison to Camerons other films.

I love Waterworld.
The crazy guy muttering away on the boat about paper.

"It's paper! Real paper!"

And the fuss over crayons.

I think it needed more shark monster though.

I agree Waterworld could've down with an actual action sequence with the big shark things, that would've been great. I still love the movie regardless though.

LAST ACTION HERO was terrible. One can see why it flopped. Lord knows how much was spent on just the marketing of that film. JURASSIC PARK destroyed it.

Come on now everyone loves Charles Dance

How about some love for Eragon! I got the Blu Ray cheap from amazon marketplace. First things first, the picture quality is superb and the FX look amazing. Sure it's generic as they come but it's an entertaining hour and forty mins IMO. The FX throughout are excellent and the cast is pretty impressive, IE Djimon Hounsou, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Robert Carlyisle. Joss Stone is shocking in it though. It also has a personal favourite of mine, Sienna Guillory! Yes Jill Valentine herself has a pretty big role in this.

Holy shit DK - you have outdone yourself this time!

The movie is a beat for beat rip off of A New Hope. Can't believe I saw this in the cinema - luckily my brother paid for it.

Eragon is a great film yes it does rip off A New Hope some times but the FX are great it has the best Dragon I have seen since reign of Fire which I will add as well good but not great the poster was Awesome to bad Reign of Fire did not live up to it. And on Blu Ray Eragon is great.

yeah some love for Eragon! I do agree that Eragon is a 100% rip off of A New Hope and this is probably why thwe story works, as it's such a tried and tested formula.

maybe its time to include Sucker Punch. Whilst not your typical blockbuster, it certainly has blockbuster scale in the action sequences. I love this movie for those scenes

I think its safe to say Green Lantern deserves a place in here.

Not exactly a box office disaster, but it was probably the most expensive movie of the year to make and didnt even make the top ten earners of the year.I dont beleive there will be a sequel any time soon despite what WB are saying.

The movie was a pleasant surprise for me though as im not really a fan of the comic books and Ryan Reynolds in particular, but i thought it was pretty good fun.I enjoyed it just as much as Thor and Captain America.

big love to LAST ACTION HERO (for those who actually GOT IT!)
HUDSEN HAWK (very funny)

SUPERMAN 3 (yes it's different, and no lex luthor, and pryor steals the show ..... and robot anne ross ..... BUT ..... the title sequence is bloody funny, THEN there's pamela stephenson in some red dress acting all tarty THEN there's that dodgy kryptonite!!!

FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN (even though the actual speed of the movement of the characters could have been speed up a tiny bit, still a worthwhile movie to watch)

and then there's the MATRIX sequels
