I have to put into the mix this one

If for no other reason than it's bugging me what you're supposed to do with those sea shells.

A mate suggested your meant to scrape it off.  But that just sounds painful.

And yes, Demolition Man kicks ass.

May i throw in Terminator Salvation now? It seemed to pretty hated and i'm not really sure how well it did in cinemas in the end. I thought it was great though!

I wouldn't use the term hated, I'd say disappointing - in terms of film quality.

Box office I don't know.

'Adventure Lives Forever' - Well that's a relief, i was worried it was only temporary. Despite many, many, many flaws Van Helsing is also a favourite of mine. Again i love the production design (this could be a running theme in all of my favourite failed blockbusters) and FX (cheesy CGI abound). This movie is just basically crazy and manic and barely takes a breather.

I enjoyed this, but, to be honest, there is only one definitive Van Helsing: Peter Cushing !

Jeez, there are some really, really godawful films in here.

However, this isn't one of them:

Love this one too, and I think it could have been quite a decent hit if producers didn;t decide to kill any chances it had by poor merchandising and limited release.

And A.I. was a flop?

Oh well.................my obvious nomination goes to.........

and then some poorly written wank goes to win a bunch of Oscars and makes a billion dollars.

Well.... to be honest I think Starship Troopers' visual effects were more consistently better than Titanic's.

Starship Troopers is hardly a failed blockbuster though, is it? Surely everyone loves it.

Made just the right amount of money to cover the production.

And it still is a film that divides. You know, the intelligent ones who understand the brillaince of it and the crybabies who compplain it's not like Hienlam's and it is ion fact an insult, and failed to grasp it's satire.*

I fail to comprehend how anyone doesnt like Starship Troopers, its like 90210 with intergalactic war and giant meteor farting bugs, has ludicrous amounts of violence and stars both Michael Ironside and Clancy Brown, what on earth isnt to like?

I really enjoyed Sahara, had a cool Indy feel to it and the score is magnificent , the ironclad story was a lot more interesting than the disease stuff though should have stuck with just that plot would have made it a nice old school adventure

True, though the disease plot didn't take over too much - it bought Cruz in anyway, which no film suffers from...

I couldn't enjoy Sahara purely based on my love of Cussler's books. I'm not major reader and certainly not of books that get made into movies but im a huge fan of Cussler's books and IMO the leads of Sahara were just so wrong in every single way for the characters of Dirk Pitt and Al Giordino. If i wasn't a fan of the characters from the books i'd probably enjoy the movie a lot more.

I think The Core is worth a mention there were some great special effects in it especially during the begining and with the Golden Gate Bridge. Also loved Speed Racer and although alot of Pearl Harbour was very funny for the wrong reasons the actual part containing the bombing is stunning (almost as stunning as Josh Harnett was in it to look at).

The Directors Cut of Pearl Harbour is available on Region 2 DVD. Is it any better than the theatrical cut? If so I might get it as opposed to the Blu Ray which has the same features minus the making of with a movie showcase instead and is just as long according to Play.com.

The best edition is the region 1 4 disc directors cut which comes in amazing packaging with a few extra fancy bits thrown in. The Directors cut is only longer by a matter of seconds i think, there's no added scenes only added gore, which is mostly CG stuff on top of stuntmen already in the theatrical cut. so yeah it's worth it. Love that movie.

I try not to, Tech. I'll only fall into another three-hour bout of sobbing and wailing at all of the sci-fi euphoria that could've been.

To add to the list, I love this one:
