The unfortunate priest in The Omen, the bad guy in Tron and Time Bandits, the head Klingon in Star Trek 6, Dr Necessiter in The Man With Two Brains etc etc... and LOADS of TV. And he's British - unlike almost the entire Empire list!

Firstly brilliant feature and well worth a chuckle.

Second...Micheal Ironside is a legend and I would be amazed if anybody 25+ didn't know who he is. I grew up watching this dude in Total Recall, Starship Troopers and Top Gun! I did a bit of research and found out his filmography which includes Terminator Salvation, surely he should get a lead role soon...And he should get a lifetime acheivement oscar...And I should present it!

He might be known for being Jennifer Garner's dad, but he's ace in almost any role and a kind of male Meryl Streep when it comes to dialects. Each and every one of the fifteen people who saw Paul Schrader's Light Sleeper just has to adore him!

Should have his BIG 'name-above-the-title' Hollywood Blockbuster! Excellent actor, lots of 'business' and subtlety. Great comic timing. The only actor of the right physical presence, depth and gravitas to be the Captain America everyone seems to be looking for. Would also shine in romantic comedy, out of his usual 'tough guy' roles. (...who, along with Harry Dean Stanton - another "that guy" - led film critic Roger Ebert to coin the "Stanton-Walsh Rule," stating that any film starring Walsh or Stanton has to have some merit.)

Thank you for answering many, many questions but although you included the fabulous and much missed JT Walsh you missed one of his co-stars from The Negotiator, Paul Guilfoyle, whose name I never knew until he turned up in CSi but who seemed to be in everything in the mid 90's. A film which also introduced me to the pleasures of Paul Giamati and (thank you!) John Morse.

Sean Murray. Here's me thinking his big break was in one of my fav TV shows, NCIS but one day I sat down to watch JAG, Hocus Pocus and some DiCaprio movie (that I cant remember the name to - turns out they were close friends though)... he's Thackeray Binx for christ sake!

David Cross, Jeff Kober, Sam Anderson, Vincent Schiavelli, Robert Picardo, Ken Leung, Mark Boone Junior, K Todd Freeman, and a personal favourite and definitely one to look up, Leland Orser. As in ER, Se7en, The Bone Collector, Alien Resurrection...he exploded JE Freeman's head with a chestburster. Ooh, there's another one!

William Fichtner is one of my fav actors - I'd be just as excited to meet him as I would to meet Johnny Depp. I like The Dark Knight because of him! Missi Pyle is also very memorable - she has a pretty but interesting face. And who doesn't know Danny Trejo?! A lot of older movies I haven't seen but I recognised 46-47 people in that list - although I certainly don't know all their names.

People may complain that the stars on this list should be bigger stars and headline films but it really doesn't matter - they're instantly recognisable, the film is always better because they're in it, which is why they get so much work and we love them. We know them just as much as we know the likes of Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Angelina, Meryl Streep etc. They just don't get as much credit but film fans still know exactly who they are and what they were in and they're just as good as the A-Listers. In fact they're in mighty lists all of their own!

 I miss Jeffrey Jones. You really did use to see him everywhere back in the 80s and 90s [especially if you were a Tim Burton fan], but then he just seemed to drop off the side of the editing table. Pity. He was incredibly watch-able, no matter what he did. Even as the teenage love of the B&W Burton aesthete wears off sommat, I still fondly recall Jones hugging his old-fashioned desk in 'Beetlejuice,' imploring fellow 'That Guy' Catherine O'Hara to let him have at least ONE room.

Does anyone remember the days when John C Riley was a 'That Guy'?

And where's Brad Dourif? Top-notch character actor for the insane and totally out-there. Even his kindly Dr Cochran in 'Deadwood' had hints of an imbalanced mind. Oh, and he chewed up the Rohan scenery as the slimy, pathetic Wormtongue over at those movies involving barefoot short fellows and this one shiny ring with a built-in choir.

Possibly no longer a 'That Guy From That Thing?' actor, Baldwin is one of my favourites. He was great in a guest appearance on Stargate, and is now one of the main characters on NBC's Chuck - even if he is Team Chuck's "Little Fat Kid", Agent Casey.

 theres a group of actors that are nearly in every single history biopic war film, braveheart, troy, gladiator etc. any of those should have been on the list. an example of one of them is James Cosmo, who in order to find, I had to go on imdb.

In the info on Larry Miller, it stats that he appeared in Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane and that this show launched the career of Ryan Reynolds. This fact is WRONG! The programme actually started the career of Michael Rosenbaum aka Lex Luthor from Smallville!!!!

If your going to alert fact fans with a comment then at least get it correct!!!! LOL!!!!!!
