...looks ok. Im a little worried about the weird albino looking mutant who seems to have a lot of abilities....one claw, cyclops like laser eye vision, possible adamantium skeleton etc. Hopefully he's not a Sylar type:( Also, what the hell is Cyclops doing in it??
I'll still be first in line though, i'm a sucker for anything X-Men.

I think the albino that Seamie mentions may be the movie's take on Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds' character. As a fan of Deadpool, I'm a little concerned that the film-makers have moved too far away from the source materials, but in fairness all we have seen so far is some fast-cut images with no context. I'll reserve judgement for now.

 Well it turns out that that 'thing' with the claws, lazer sight, no mouth, tattoos etc is a disfigured Deadpool. Yes Fox have totally screwed over one of my fav characters. It was confirmed by the newly released toys from the film. This thing is deadpool. :(

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Liev Schreiber but does anyone else think Sabretooth looks cack? I mean what is with those crud claws. How the hell can you take him seriously against Wolverine's blades? At least Tyler Mane had the hulking size. It all looks a bit rubbish to me.

 can't believe that is deadpool???!!! that blows!!!

I didn't realise Cyclops was in the story so much, obviously I havent seen the film so I could be barking up the wrong tree but why then did he not recognise him when he turned up in Xmen???

Oh and whats that thing chasing him through school??? and why is my monitor so poo that I can't see anything properly??? and why has my office run out of tea bags???

 I want to like this, I do, but it just looks rubbish. I am a big X-men fan, and didn't think that X-men 3 was that bad, not as good as the first 2, but not bad. This however, will be terrible by the look of it so far. The trailer sucks, Emma Frost looks like a disco ball, Deadpool looks too wimpy, Creed has shorter fingernails than some women, and there are so many nearly-indestructible mutants that they won't kill off, I'm worried it will be a bit predictable too, with the new ones being the only ones to bite the dust.

The one thing that was good was the Blob, looked believable and just right.

I have fears this could be the X3 that all the haters think they saw, too many mutants, lots of fights, but no heart, and all done in a bit of a rush. Not even sure if I'll go see this, may wait for the DVD :(

Early shots of Reynolds in action as Deadpool only added to fans’ fears that the movie character would diverge from his print counterpart in this aspect.

However, images of one of the action figures in the upcoming line of “Wolverine” movie toys opened the Deadpool discussion once again, as a strange-looking figure appeared on shelves labeled as “Deadpool” on its packaging. Naturally, this ignited speculation that the bizarre figure with blades on its hands and no obvious mouth was actually the scarred-up version of Reynolds’ character.

Now, with the debut of the new “Wolverine” trailer, we have at least one answer — and a few more questions. (But isn’t that always the way it works?)

A good, up-close look at the character reveales that it certainly isn’t Reynolds with the sealed-up mouth and blades. Also, recent additions to the “Wolverine” movie cast listing on IMDb indicate that the mysterious new mutant is played by Scott Adkins, and goes by the name of “Weapon XI.”

So, it looks like the Deadpool action figure was indeed a red herring, folks — and this won’t be the look sported by the Marvel Merc.

However, there are a few more burning questions left unanswered. While we saw quite a bit more of Reynolds in action as Deadpool — we still don’t know if he’ll ever don the familiar red-and-black mask of his comics counterpart. As for Weapon XI, what role will he play in the film? (And what’s up with his mouth?)

 I had high hopes for this after Last Stand, but to be honest im a little dissapointed now. My favourite X-Man was always gambit and i waited patiently for his apppearance throughout three films, but after seeing this im not so sure now.

Ok MTV says its not Deadpool, have a cookie. Still object to you coming on here, shouting the odds. Anyway to change the subject I really do hope that MTV is right and that isn't Deadpool, I know it was never going to stick to the original comic that closely but just didn't like the look. On every site i go to there are these pedantic, extremist little fucks that are never happy about anything..if its not one thing its the other..so i have just lost patience with them..maybe this forum wasnt the best place to vent! But i just happened to log on and saw some similar crap being spewed so i let loose. Im a fan myself..maybe even a geek! But people that cany grasp the word ADAPTATION really annoy me. Also, in the immortal words of Chrissy B, i have a potty mouth..if this offends anyone i suggest you say the word cunt 5 times turn around, look out the window and if the world is in any worse condition ill stop cussing!

I grew up as a kid watching the x-men cartoons on telly and it's one of my favourite shows cartoon or otherwise.

Plus as a kid born in the 80's and growing up with the likes of Back to the Future (where I fancied Michael J. Fox) and T1 and T2 (where I fancied Edward Furlong) the third guy I had the hots for was Gambit! I'm just plain happy that the coolest dude is finally in the films.

I have my reservations though - the 1st x-men movie was good, 2nd was better and the 3rd was ... ... ... ... what-ever! I'm not one for spin-offs - I prefer the x-men as a whole rather than individual movies. Also they really seem to be laying it on with the buff stuff male cast members - as a straight woman I appreciate it but I don't know if I'll be able to take all this hotness seriously or just end up falling off my chair with laughter at the soft porn!

Saying all this though I have to say that all the footage I've seen so far looks well wicked. So I got my fingers crossed. I'll reserve my judgement for when I've actually seen the movie.

I'll give you this,...i didn't like your initial posts about "whining maggotts" etc, i just thought "oh here's another typewriting tough-guy newbie who's quite happy to sit behind the safety of his keyboard and call people cunts etc, but who would probably shit himself at the first sign of any kind of real-life confrontation",.....but I have to say I absolutely agree with what your saying! I cant stand people who think something is unfilmable and simply cant be adapted,........talk about having a defeatist attitude!

Watchmen was apparently unfilmable and so was Lord of The Rings and look how they turned out!
Nothing is unfilmable!

 I'm a HUUUUUUGGGGGE Wolverine fan and I cannot bloody wait to see this film It looks the dog's danglies... I doubt they'd change Deadpool too much. Not if they want to spin him off into his own movie. He needs to be somewhat recognizable to his fans. I think the images of the pale dude with Wolverines claws and Cyclops' eye beams will be a genetic pick n' mix who will be Weapon XI (11). Whether that's Wade Wilson or not isn't important, because I'm sure by the end of the movie they'll leave Deadpool as just some fucked up, scarred as shit mercenary with his only ability a stolen healing factor and a mask to keep his dignity.

 Went to see Watchmen on Saturday and the Wolverine trailer played before as did the new Trek one but i have to say the 'geeks' seemed to react more to the Wolverine one more than the Trek one .... and then most of them fainted when Watchmen started ... just too much in one afternoon ..methinks .
