Saw this on display in Blackwell's today. A gorgeous book with some awesome photography, which you would expect considering the price

It's made by Taschen, so the quality is to be expected. They were the ones responsible for the Kubrick Archives.

Do you think this will mean it will drop in price like the Kubrick Archives did when they started making them without the reel of film in? 400 is just a tad out of my price range

You never know. Is there anything uniquely collectable in the Godfather Album? I dunno. I got the Kubrick Archives on the second run so sadly without the film strip  Still an awesomely amazing book tho.

I think the reason it is so expensive is because it is limited to 1000. Not to mention that the book itself is almost three times as big as the Kubrick one. The Bergman one looks pretty impressive too.

Beautiful . But far too expensive. I'll wait for the paperback .

Pfft.  That's an offer I certainly can refuse.
