This film seems absolutely ridiculous. There is the faint hope that it's excellent, however. Casting Roth is very peculiar, and I don't particularly buy Pitt's being gruff. Tarantino is a bit of a madman these days...

 Let me clear this up for you, my English friends. He's a hillbilly. There's a difference of about a thousand miles. Think Missouri/Kansas/Nebraska. By the way, Pitt, who is from that part of the country, has described himself as a hillbilly many times. The only thing I like about this silly movie is the way Pitt is clearly enjoying himself.

I'm not feelin it, but it's nice to know that Pitt is not the lead. he's aged horribly (check keanu reeves and johnny depp) and his acting is as bad as ever. The only reason to watch a Pitt movie was because he was kinda good looking and now that's out the window. There is no reason for me to want to watch A brad pitt movie at this point. I'll pass. Billy Bob Thorton would have been a better choice.

 LoL what an odd thing to say. I don't think I would be her type anyway.  My post had nothing to do with his personal life and everything to do with what made him famous... HIS LOOKS.  Pitt is verging on ugly and he's a bad actor so why do I wanna watch him now?

whatever. I like QT enought to check this movie out and give it a chance.

I don't think Pitt has "aged horribly", then again I just watched Benjamin Button last night, so I'm not sure what was CGI to make him look older and what was CGI to make him look younger.
On that note does anyone think that David Fincher shouldn't have bothered with the special effects to make Pitt look 80 years old, he could have just hired Robert Redford to walk around on his knees with a pair of shoes tied to them!
Back to QT, why no Mike Myers in the Basterds trailer...or was that him donning the Hitler outfit?!

We always knew this wasnt going to be a hardcore serious war movie why are picking holes into a teaser trailer, i dont know about you but this trailer makes me want to watch it more!!!!

 The scar is in the script.  He's supposed to have had his throat slit at one point, although it's never really explained.

personally i think brad pitt is a very charismatic actor whos talent has always been overlooked and underwritten by his good looks. he aint no young whipper snappa now but i think hes only gona get better. his face looks fuckin cool actually. very charismatic in the traditional sense. humphrey boghart was a wrinkly git but what a leading man. all about charisma. and gravitas. which brad is getting more of with each passing year. you wait. hell be seen as an actore actor one day.
as for the film...wait until youv seen it. all congecture people. i think its gonna be the drool on the hounds tool.

 LOL.  Dude, we both need to take a geography class.  There are no HILLS in Oklahoma and Texas, therefore there are no HILLBILLYS.  Kansas and Nebraska are also flat.  But Missouri is most definitely hillbilly country as well as Arkansas, Kentucky and West Virginia - I went in the wrong direction.  Check any topographical map.  Brad Pitt is from Missouri and has called himself that name on occasion to be self-deprecating.  It's a generalized, somewhat durogatory term for "white trash" people who come from mountain areas, so if you're so sure you haven't met any maybe that just means you ARE one.
