You cant remake it, theres nothing wrong with the original apart from maybe dated specail effect but then its still a good cult film.

Next thing they will want to redo friday the 13th.....oh wait....

The Predator III rumour/Robert Rodriguez has been around for years. I heard he wanted to set it on the Predator homework but Fox balked at the budget.

I say do it. Set it in the future, throw in some marines, an assault against the Predator homeworld for repeated massacres and 'boom' - carnage.

What kind of homework? English Lit maybe? That's a rubbish idea - back to the drawing board Timon!

Folks are loovin this reboot shinanigans lately ain't they.
Do a third instalment or don't bother I say.
The first movie is simply unbeatable and if Rodriguez thinks he can top or even match it, then is badly mistaken! I say bleed him quite and leave him here!!

Yes it is true, I done a post earlier on another thread.  Many other sites are talking about this and I think it has been confirmed.  Robert Rodriguez will produce it and so far called Predator 3 so at the mo-not a re-make.

Predator 3 could be onboard a Spanish Galleon according to Total Film with Jack Sparrow at the helm and Indy along for the ride trying to figure out what makes Predators magnetic.

Lets just make it a direct sequel.

Love the idea of a P3, not a remake as there is NO need for a remake. If anything the first one is a classic, it’s timeless and it’s a killer. To me the best Arnie flick of all time (my opinion, only). But I don’t think these guys can top it, but I think they’ll without doubt/fail top the second movie which isn’t all that great!

Like many people have said, Preditor is an absolute classic and one of my all time favourites. There is absolutley no need to remake it. But a 3rd preditor film would be awsome! The Alien vs preditor franchise has done the creation no justice so a 3rd film is more than welcome.

Like most posts on here i agree Predator 3 not a remake would get me in a cinema. However i thought that about Alien V Predator... which were poorly constructed and executed in my opinion. Its only worthwhile with a figure head against the predator, Arnie and Glover were the glue of the previous films. In Alien it was Weaver, The new films create characters who really you don't care about, characters thrown together, The studios involved know that there is a desire for a good Alien / Predator movie, because when it works they are good films. Instead of abusing this desire, a change in thinking is needed, studios should no longer greenlight scripts based on a premise of high concept and no character, just because they are science fiction, fantasy, action because they think that films like these can survive on concepts and set pieces. without any feelings one way or another who cares! once you take away that connection the terror these films can create goes, instead you think 'that guy's going get f*kd up now... o look he did" next scene... so make the script solid! or don't bother!

I've never rated the original, so a remake of it is fine with me, Arnieless is a plus for me, a good idea ruined by some guy who can't act for toffee, I prefer P2 for the very reason the Austrian Oak is nowhere to be seen.

Fuck it! bring it on!

Don't remake the original because it's a great film. It would be better to have a couple of aliens battling it out on Earth. Arnie could be the General fetched out of retirement to advise because of his specialist knowledge.

I loved the previous 2 (yes even the Danny Glover sequel) and Robert Rodriquez is a superb, entertaing director. This'll give him something to do till Sin City 2 finally gets made. I agree with the others who would advise against a remake as Predator doesn't really need retelling. Alien hunter who come to earth to hunt for trophies, not hard to retell and set up in a new story. So long this makes up for the attrocious Alien vs Predator films. Right i'll expect to see a guy (or even Predator itself) to shoot peole with a guitar case.

What's the point? AVP is horrible, and Predator is just good solid fun. Do we need another one? No, not really. I'm up for Alien 5 with Scott & Cameron on board, but with regard to a new Predator movie, there's not much else that can be brought to it that has already been done effectively enough. Move on, Fox. Give up the ghost.

This represents the shambles and disgrace that is Hollywood right now. Nothing but remake after remake - not a shred of originality left and resort to adaptations of books or remaking classics. Definition of classic: Do not remake, unless you have no IQ.

HR Giger. Ridley Scott.

With the exception of the dodgy little pink chest sperm coming out of John Hurt, this film is still effective and ageless. One of the most incredible sci-fi horrors of its time, of any time. Do not even consider it. Tour de force.

I have to say, in the right hands Predator 3 would be very promising, but i still think even if John was to direct again for thr Re-Make, it wouldn't be the same. Predator is (i think) the best SCI FI film ever, muscle, blood, the great one liners....the cast....even the cast! You would struggle now thinking of a cast that would work as well as the first crew did. I say leave the classics (but you never do, ie Holloween,Psycho etc) Let them do Predator 3...well let robert rodrigez do it, but the two muppets (brothers!!!) Colin Strause,
Greg Strause should have been shot on sight, targets on thier heads, bomb straped to thier necks BOOOOM!! Anyway DO IT, DO IT, DO IT. RIP Kevin Peter Hall & Stan Winston.

I could come up with 100 reasons why this is wrong but I don't have the time. We know it should never be allowed to happen. Even Empire must realise this is Hollywood taking their recent fad of remakes/reboots way too far??

Aren't studio execs paid to think at all, these days? Whatever happened to original thinking?
