woo what a collection, i was really hoping the film was not going to be solely for kids and one look at this cast confirms it. Pegg, Frost and Wright all together for first time since Fuzz.

It is going to be epic. Peter Jackson joining forces with Spielberg is something to look forward to. Not to mention that the cast so far is almost 100% British.

Bell seems to be moving up in the world. Did well in Jumper and lately Defiance, so good luck to him. He'll be working with Daniel Craig again...but Bond as Red Rackham, I'm not so sure !

Sounds good, thank God they didn't go ahead with that drumming muppet from Love Actually playing Tintin.

few things are as vivid from my youth as the memory of the recorded voices from Tintin. Best swedish-dubbed cartoons ever. Gonna be hard to get used to the new sound of Tintin and Co. And how in h**l did they come up with the name Snowy???? It's Milou you heathens.

I think Jamie Bell is a great choice. He out-acted Craig and Schreiber in Defiance and was the best thing in Jumper. The young man has literally come leaps and bounds in the last few years.

But I cannot muster one speck of enthusiasm for this project. I never liked Tintin, when I think of motion capture I think Beo-WOOF!!!, (London cab driver), and to be honest I'd rather everyone involved was off doing something more interesting.

I haven't seen as impressive a list of creatives linked to a film in a long time. Spielberg and Jackson are the two biggest event movie directors working today, Steven Moffat has written all the best Doctor Who scripts of the Ecclestone/Tennant generation and the casting is both interesting and fun. Serkis is perfect for Haddock, the use of Pegg/Frost is unusual but exciting and I like Jamie Bell in everything i've seen him in. I'm very excited!

Not a big fan of Tintin, but this cast list is inspired. Count me in!

Can't comment on Defiance, but I agree he was great in Jumper and made Christensen look like a lump of drift wood.

His accent was a bid weird though, one minute he sounded like he was from the valleys, then like a Scouse, then Irish, then a bit English.

That's an AMAZING cast and crew, pretty much a who's-who of people I like in the industry. I for one really like Tintin so I'm REALLY looking forward to this. I kinda wish it was live-action instead of mo-cap, but I have faith in The Two Beards that it will turn out tree-men-dous.

I've read all the Tintin's adventures in my childhood and I am having trouble figuring out how Pegg and Frost is a "brillant" choice for the Thompsons brothers. I have faith in make-ups and special effects and I am a great fan of the pair's work but I am not convinced that they will be convincing enough as the twins. I might be wrong and I genuinely hope that Spielberg proves me wrong otherwise it will be a let down for what looks to be a great comic to movie adaptation.

Cant say I'm convinced yet, but I guess its hard to picture how the finished product will look. Lets hope Speilberg has some spark left.

i havent been that bothered about the news of a Tintin movie; i always thought he was bit of a loser; that was until i seen the cast list!! Jamie Bell is awesome, he made Jumper worth watching and was class in Undertow and Dear Wendy; can't wait to see how the movie turns out!

With a package like that (I was in when Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were announced) there is absolutely no chance I will be missing this. Jackson and Speilberg was enough, but to have Wright, Moffat, and Cornish on board has certainly put the lid on this for me. Jamie Bell is a great choice too, and the always reliable Serkis will no doubt deliver once again. All I have left to say is.... STEPHEN!

Well, with such a cast, how can one not be excited? But I agree, Helen, the most important question has yet to be answered...

Thanks fierce-hairdo.....

As for the Song Wars theme tune... I hope they do because if it's anything like the Australia and Quantum of Solace theme tune's they did it will no doubt be superb! (You can find the video's for them on You Tube incidentally!)

Good casting and am very happy with this. Was always of the mind though that, as three films were announced, they could do worse than conflate 'The Secret of the Unicorn' and 'Red Rackham's Treasure' into one, 'The Seven Crystal Balls' and 'Prisoners of the Sun' into a second and 'Destination Moon' and 'Explorers on the Moon' into a third.
