 Other great apps for Twitter I find, are; "Tweet Adder", which lets you put your account on automation and so is great for days when you aren't going to get a chance to go online that much perhaps. You can also target who you would like to follow and automatically set your tweets to post for you. Yes it costs £25 (at least it did when I purchased it!) but it is so darn useful and that's a one of payment. I honestly wouldn't be without it and you can have up to 4 Twitter accounts on the one adder also.

I think another good idea which I've been doing for the past few months, is tweeting links to my gallery etc in different languages, to target a worldwide audience. Google Translate is also a good idea then to use in conjunction with Tweet Adder. I also use pretty much on a daily basis "Twitter Simbols", which lets you post real smileys instead of the usual ":o)".

OK, yes I admit, I'm a bit of a pedant but if you want a more professional, polished looking profile, all of the above is really worth looking into.

 ^ That Tweet Adder thing sounds like something that would be hocked by some cheesy man with spiky hair at 1am on the infomercial channel. I'm sure it's useful for big businesses who just want to get their messages out and nothing else, but I doubt it's useful for much else.

Yeah I suppose it does doesn't it!

You're right however on the business aspect, hence why I actually like it, because you can tweet at prime times of the day when perhaps you can't get online, therefore advertising when people will possibly most notice you. I don't think you would really need it otherwise....

My tweet to empire comment ratio is a massive 3 to 1, which is kinda something when you take in to account I've been on here for 7 years and twitter in 2008 (but didn't start really taking it seriously 'til January 2010).

And here's an eye-watering stat - my 30,549 tweets equal a massive 4,276,860 characters!

I'm surprised people still use the main twitter page to notice, the only reason I noticed is because people were complaining about it. It looks nicer now, but I doubt I'll veer away from Tweetdeck.

I've been using it for ages. I had no idea that some people were still on the old system. Usually with this kind of thing it takes me a while to get used to a change but I found it really easy to navigate and grasp.

On the twitter client issue, I just recently downloaded Tweetdeck since thats what I use on my iPod but on the computer, I pretty much always use the website. I have no idea why. For a long time I used Tweetr but one day that just upped and died and since then I haven't used a client on the computer.
