I bought Ronaldinho on one of the old games, for a stupid amount of money and he was genius. I also remember on 00/01 I bought Francesco Totti to Catalonia, for my entire budget. I won the league though, so was well worth it.

Well, Aguero has scored 2 in 6... and Alves has 4 in 7. Hmm. Not exactly firing on all cylinders so far. I am 4th after 5 league games, haven't let in a goal in my UEFA qualifiers, and am through to the 4th round of the League Cup. Good start so far.

I think I played a second match of the season (I let my assistant do all my friendlies) and I lost that too.

I've gone for a 4-3-3 in the last few matches... 1-2 against Villa (last minute winner for them), 2-1 Bolton, and 4-1 Lech(?)

I never care about the results of the friendlies. I only use them to get my entire first team squad and a few youngsters match fit. I usually cancel a couple of them as well as there's always too many.

Am I the only one who leaves all my friendly stuff to my assistant? Never bother with them there just something to use to get guys match fit. It is helpful if you go a team you don't know much about but that's why asking your assistant advise is a good add in to the game

I opted for bath but not really doing well?? trying to figure out whats going wrong nothing i do seem's to work? end of october and im 18th losing 7 games. Even got dicked 4-1 by team bath which didnt go down well (though there top of the league) as there my feeder club aparently which is a bit weird?? lol

As for tips i find looking around scandinavia usually uncovers a few gems for peanuts!

I remember on CM 00/01, I really used my scouts and unveiled a young French defender at Auxurre called Phillipe Mex�s (now the bedrock of the Roma defence), and some sweedish fella called Zlatan Ibrahimovic (currently the best player in Serie A) at lowly Malmo.

God, haven't played this in ages. Got a copy of CM 01/02 for my computer, but it always seemed to crash after a certain point in the game I played as Arsenal (hey, I was 13, I didn't give a shit

), and a copy of CM 2006 for my Xbox. Eye strain and no mouse aside, it's pretty decent. I've taken up a position as the manager of Mansfield Town (can't remember the League - the one above Conference, I think), and we're doing alright two games into the first competition, though one of my better players got injured for three months in a 2-1 win against Grimsby.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing in that game.

What, not even knowing the slightest about football, let alone Mansfield Town?

This is why the numbers are good. Easy to understand.

Mansfield Town's a pretty decent low team, though - a half-decent first eleven on starting (when I say half, I mean it - they're not shit hot at all, and are so prone to unfitness it's not funny) and the always reliable Greek striker Nikos Frousos.

He's my best transfer find ever.

On the old CM2 (the one with the square menu buttons, 1995/6 season I think it started in!!) I found this brilliant French left back playing at Bordeaux. His name? Zinedine Zidane.

If you could get (Fat) Ronaldo from PSV in that game he would guarantee you 60 goals a season.

Well ifinished my 1st season with bath with little success lol. finished mid-table pretty much this pre-season its getting rid of dead weight and trying to find real bargins, looked for all the players arsenal/chelsea/liverpool and man utd released and get as many as i can. my average age for my squad now is about 22!
Picked up a brazilian magno vieria from wycombe reserves who's doing the buisness from me up front.

Anyone been invited to subscribe to Football Manager Live - the online multiplayer management version, which you create your own team, compete in auctions for players against other human managers and play games regularly.

Sounds great no? But �22.99 for 3 months subscription?! Surely that is outrageously expensive!?! I mean, you can pick up FM 09 for 20 quid now!
