I still have Championship Manager Season 03/04. I'd be Liverpool most of the time, loan out all the shite players to Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa and Everton for millions which would bankrupt them. I'd suck as Liverpool manager though, playing a 4-4-2 attacking formation....so I'd chose to be Celtic and hammer everyone in the SPL, a bit like real life.

Too addictive, I had to delete the game.

 I usually give it to my keeper because he's the most likely to play most games. Artur Boruc as the Celtic captain the red tops would go mental

 Its comepletely divided my squad - 4 of them think they would be a better choice as captain, including my assistant manager, while the rest think that the guy I picked wasa good choice. This could be fun

 I haven't bought FM for 2 years as the addiction became too much. However, every few months i revisit the game and carry on with one i started ages ago. In it i dominated with Chelsea, then Arsenal, then took over at a mid table Liverpool and eventually brought them dominance (and an outstanding youth team). Then in a fit of boredom i quit, went on holiday for 3 months and then took over at a struggling League Two Kidderminster. Keep them in League Two and then got promoted the next season (much to the fans, and more importantly my, surprise) by finishing second. Now in League One and in the top half. Haven't played for a few weeks and good job too because it usually consumes me for a while.

What i've done with Kidderminster, which has been mentioned, is to try bringing in free transfers and loan signings. The Harriers actually have some money to spend (about 200k) but i've barely spent any. I always ask the board to improve training and youth facilities and i've got some youngsters who are ok to fill in as my squad is pretty bare. As Felix said i always sell everyone in the reserve squad but try to bring on a couple of youngsters. If they're no good i get rid of them after a season. Eventually when my 10 year plan gets me to the PL, my youth system should be good enough to provide some decent players.

What's everyone's greatest achievement in CM/FM? I'd say mine was winning the Champions League with Dagenham & Redbridge a few years back. Took them from the Conference to the PL, although as soon as we won the PL and CL the Liverpool job came up and i just couldn't resist. Especially as they were in a perilous position and i wanted to bring back the glory days.

 Got to the Prem with Carlisle and won the UEFA Cup too. Also 9 in a row with Celtic will be nice at the end of this season, so far 5 points in front.

My achievements are not that great really (unless you count relegating Man Utd)

I have tried time and time again to win Seria A without using the big three teams in the games (Milan/Juve/Roma) and the best I have managed in nearly 10 years of management is 2nd place.

I didn't do that for the first few years of playing it and after a few failed attempts the Dagenham game was the first time i'd done it fully. Perhaps that's why it sticks in my mind. Hope you're successful with Hyde, there really is nothing more rewarding in the game than turning a small club into a giant.

 What about someone like Senna has Villareal you might get him for a good price as he's in his 30's. They're actually a good team to go and look at players at.

 Greatest achievement was reaching the World Cup final with Ireland. Brazil pasted us 4-1, but I got the Chelsea job off the back of it and won the quintuple.

EDIT: "accidentally" got the score wrong there.
