I have searched for previous thread to this, but could not find one.

Just to say that the new season starts on the 12th of Jan.
They have moved it from the traditional Sunday slot, which seems strange to me.

I can't keep up with 24 when it's on it's tv run, especially on Sky -  all those advert breaks. I hope this series takes it back onto the form of Season 5 as 6 was a little up and down, but still had some great moments.

I'll leave this open depending on what we do with US/UK threads, but much discussion here:

Thanks, Captain Black.

I for one will be watching via Sky1, watching on a big old plasma swung it!
Can rename this to the UK thread if needed.

They must be keeping that open for Lost when it returns?

Yep me too, watching in the comfort of my armchair on the big screen is so much better.

So a Monday night slot? have they moved the time or will it still be 10pm?

Yes please save me from US speed spoilers...

I haven't been paying attention to the other thread as I want to avoid all spoilers. Has it actually started in the US or it the thread just full of what ifs?

I shall be watching now I have Sky 1 back on Virgin  (that is, if I can watch all of season 6 before Monday  )  If not (and I just watched season 5 in 3 days so don't see why not) I shall have to record the first episode.

How long after the US showing is it shown here in the UK? Is it going to be like Prison Break (1 day) to stop downloading? If so, there's really no point in 2 threads.

If it's 24 hours I can't see much point in having two threads. It normally takes that long to download and prep anyway.

MAJOR SPOILER FOR SOME!

It`s been mentioned in tv guide features so not really a spoiler that Tony isn`t dead at all and has become a terrorist leader for this season which seems a bit far fetched even for 24! Then again people can be brainwashed and radicalised or secret double agents it just seems a bit much second only to Jack being a terrorist. I will be watching but if they start trying to hard too surprise us by making the plot daft I may just go off what has been one of the best action drama shows ever on tv which would be a shame.

Amen brother, but I fear the worst! Having Tony Almeida back just stinks of the writers having run out of ideas for new characters, which doesn't bode well for their ability to keep us interested for another 24 episodes.

Also, if Sky must insist on being one week behind, are we going to have to have a US and a UK thread. Will be spoilerific thread otherwise.

Where have you been man? Tony actually featured in the trailer that aired 12 months ago, before they decided to put the show on hold cos of that strike!
But, the fac tthey showed him in that trailer leads me to believe that he wont be in it long, or he's a red herring of sorts...

Yeah I think it's only on tonight and is repeated on Sky 2 tomorrow. No new episode tomorrow.

Sorry my bad.

I got my info from an unreliable source

UK speed will be two episodes behind the US speed so a UK speed thread seems right.

Don't have Sky anyomre to have someone taping it for me, i shall be bashing down my Dads door every bloody tuesday morning to get my copy, telling him "WE'RE RUNNIN OUT OF TIME, GIMME THE DVD, DAMMIT!!!"  After Redemption teased us on dvd with 15 minutes of the first episode, i am just far too excited. And hopefully they've learned their lesson from Day 6

Good to know, i thought my V+Box program guide had screwed up!
One good thing is it wont now clash with the new season of CSI.

Great opening episodes anyway. Basically Die Hard 24.0 but still as compulsive as ever. Quite a low-key opener aswell compared to previous seasons; barely any action, no explosions etc just good, suspenseful character stuff. Quite like the FBI lady already and I'm pretty sure Janeane Garofalo and Chloe (when her and Bill finally show their faces!) are going to either be bessie mates or clash since they seem pretty similar. Having caught Tony already I have absolutely no idea where Day 7 could possible go next.

Seven days to wait now

Cracking stuff, Renee (the FBI lady) is a great addition, though I'm not sure about the rest of the FBI team. It has some really (daft but) good story lines, though I am less bothered about the the Presidents story but I will say it was a surprise to find out her son died. It wasn't hugely action packed but I thought Jack's jump and roll and jump thing at the end of ep 2 was brilliant, I just hope they can keep it up, but so far so good.

Please all 24 fans, do not watch the SKY promo for next week, the bastards reveals a huge twist that spoils everything that I am too kind hearted to reveal to everyone here.  STUPID...STUPID...IDIOTS.  As for Day 7, awesome, the first 2 hrs wipe out all the bitter memories of the dire day 6.  Excited and deflated at those idiots at SKY...WHY...WHY...WHY

Hold on everyone, remember how two years ago we were all saying how good the first 4 episodes of season 6 were? I'm still doubtful as there's already talk about mass rioting, why can't they keep the story small? It's the details that made 24 great and different to everything else, and while these two opening episodes were ok, it feels very generic.

I don't think the 24 story's were ever small and I do remember loving the beginning of Season 6, but I keep my hopes up that Season 7 can stay strong.
