Is this not just 'It's A Knockout' for the 21st century?

Silly, juvenile nonsense - I literally loved it! Literally...
There is just something endlessly entertaining about watching someone bouncing off their face on a giant inflatable ball.

I did laugh at that!
Did feel slightly ashamed about it, but it didn't last long.

I particularly liked the slow motion replays as some other poor unfortunate somersaulted into the water/mud - you could see every buttock-wobble!

I thought very Takeshi's Castle too, especially with the literally amusing piss-take voiceover from Hammond (and Top Gear's script editor and rather excellent motoring columnist Richard Porter on writing duties I noticed) being similar to Craig Charles.

Pretty decent challenges, although it seemed rather geared towards finding loud-mouth idiots who will then fail on an obstacle course that is designed not to be finished (swinging on a rope to land on small ledge is nigh-on impossible, doubly so when you only have one try).  And the girl interviewer was a waste of air.

It's basically Takeshi's Castle but with far few contestants and easier progression. But the whole battle cry before they start the round is better in Japanese when I can't understand what has been said and so it's not as cringeworthy!

It was surprisingly funny actually, particularly the early rounds. The final round reminded me of a similar show called Ninja Warrior, except in that they have ridiculous obstacles and the contestants take it very seriously and have trained all year.

I thought that it was a cross between these two shows, but not as much fun as the former or as challenging as the latter. They need Bridge Ball to liven it up

The woman interviewer really got on my nerves.  If you're gonna be rude and sarcastic etc, at least be funny.  Like Richard Hammond was

And I agree with the Takeshi's Castle sentiments, it's the first thing I thought of when I saw the first challenger fall off those red balls.

They should have made it more like a British Takeshi's Castle by getting a top UK Writer/Director in to present it and drive around in a massive bumper car at the end with water pistols.  Like Ken Loach

Anyone reckon that getting across those big red balls is actually possible?

The only people that have come close have only done so by bouncing off two of them off their ass.

Takeshi's Castle is funnier but it's an amusing way to pass the time. Hammond is in everything lately, is he the new Barrowman?

Yeah it looks impossible, can't see how anyone can get across. Brilliant though!

I'm not a big fan of Hammond but he's definitely not as evil or annoying as Barrowman!

I'm sad enough to have watched the American version of this show last year which uses the same course and believe it or not, there were a couple of people who made it over the balls.

And is it just me or is anyone else surprised that nobody has broken their neck yet?

Mad show, good family entertainment. better than the crappy Hole in the Wall, but not as good as Touch the Truck.

And if you want to see someone beating their balls (oo er missus) then watch these two short compilations of the US show. The last men on each video are the guys who complete it and it's a joy to behold.
