Western Digital 640Gb External Hard Drive (I told my parents to get me that, glad they came through)
The Untouchables DVD (Only catch? It's Region 2. Luckily, my computer will play it.)
Sweets and chocolates
A $20 Warehouse voucher
$20 Australian dollars
A grey t-shirt and a box of handkerchiefs (I swear, sometimes my grandparents are great, and sometimes, like this year, I get the feeling they're mocking me)
And, the piece de resistance, a National Geographic 'Search For The Supersnake' DVD I will never watch that obviously came free with an Australian newspaper. Thanks, Nana.

So, who wants to swap gifts? I've got a Supersnake documentary and handkerchiefs!

Prince of Persia ; Pending from a mate. As he already told me he got it.

Books

Make up
More perfume
Oil of Olay stuff ( I think it's a hint...)
More champagne
Dosh
Choccies
Jewellery
Another funky scarf
A beautiful Chinese wind chime in the shape of a dragon

I love my family sooooo much! This isn't about the pressies, as much as they are really going all out for me not to be sad.

Baby brother has just caught sight of my Carp Pole and made arrangements for a fishing date! Just the two of us, our sandwiches, some beer and a private pond...

How lovely is that?  How sad that Daddy Bear just didn't appreciate the family he married into.......

Castor; I love Bruce Parry.  I'd asked for his Tribe book last Christmas but I didn't get it, as I'd also asked for a few other things. I've been meaning to buy it ever since but have a backlog of books to get through just now.  I see you have the dvd and his book Amazon, do you happen to already have the book on the programme Tribe?

It's weird because I only saw 2 or 3eps of amazon really -
Maybe a few bits here and there of tribe. But my gf got me the amazon book and independantly my bro got me the tribe DVD. Bit of a coincidence. I'm well looking forward to getting into both of them though.

Actually yeah I was pondering this when I logged off earlier, I seemed to recall having this convo on MSN one time that you weren't hadn't really got into it.  I think I remember thinking at the time it was because it wasn't 'hardcore' enough for your taste! I.e He doesn't eat raw zebra or drink the moisture from shit!   However, I find him a very affable bloke who enters into the various tribes with respect and humility.  I hope you enjoy it.  I'm tempted to see if I can find it in a sale now that it's been brought to my attention again.

My friends and I had a "chocolate and something silly" pact this year, since everyone was a bit skint, so from them I got:

Lots of chocolate, obviously.
A powerpuff girls cushion (for no apparent reason other than I and the girl who bought it are both blonde, and there's a blonde powerpuff girl )
A 10-in-1 travel games thingy, including table football and travel bingo.
A winnie the pooh mug.
A pair of light up dice (I'm the only one in our group with a car).

From other friends I got:

A tinkerbell necklace.
Julie Walters' autobiography.
A Pirates of the Caribbean book (the secret files of the East India Trading Company).
Discworld Mapp.
'Mock the Week: Scenes We'd Love to See' book.
'Gates of Fire: An Epic Novel of the Battle of Thermopylae' book.
BBC's film 'Becoming Jane' on DVD (this friend knows of my obsession with Anne Hathaway ).
'Nation' by Terry Pratchett (though this was a late birthday present)

And from family:

Nikon D60 with 18-55mm lens, memory card and case.
Nickelback's 'Dark Horse' album.
The complete set of Lemony Snickett's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' (from my brother. He told me he couldn't afford them, then tricked me by wrapping the box and each individual book separately )
Mirror's Edge for the X-Box 360.
Tomb Raider Underworld for the X-Box 360.
Supernatural Series 3 (though this hasn't come yet. My aunt bought Series 1 by accident so she's going to swap it for me).
The Complete Blackadder Collection.
Lost Series 4.
A Me-To-You bear dressed in a penguin costume (It's a special edition, and I have three of these so far, to add to my collection of regular M2Y bears).
'The Carnival Master' by Craig Russell.
A Dragonfly Necklace.
A charm bracelet (with each charm picked by me to correspond with hobbies and interests).
Some fluffy slipper socks.
A scarf and gloves set.
Some pyjamas.
The Illustrated edition of 'The Wee Free Men' by Terry Pratchett.
A £25 iTunes card.
A Hello Kitty pez dispenser with sweets (yay for Pez!!).
A jar of flying saucers (yay for sherbet!).
A box of dark chocolate covered brazil nuts.
A stocking full of chocolate coins and jelly tots

And, my favourite two by far (except my new camera) are from my Uncle, who is generously feeding by Harry Potter obsession:

A Gryffindor House Scarf as seen in the films.
A print of 'The Enchanted Car' by Mary Grand Pre (the illustrator of the US editions of the books) [sm=4h

Oh, man I feel spoiled now

Looks like everyone was made very happy this Christmas, in various way. I think it would be interesting to know what people gave as well as received.

My brother has 3 main interests which i managed to satisfy. One was a Leeds Utd calender, he is an avid supporter and some of his students support them too, so i said that was for his classroom. Hes into his comics, so i bought him The Long Halloween. I'd seen it mentioned on here a few times as a book well worth getting. And finally i got him a tried and tested methods of gardening, with some useful tips and ideas to improve your garden, as he has in recent years become a fan. He seemed pretty pleased with them. I got mum CK euphoria and my dad a bottle of Famous Grouse. I think i copped out with dad, but its his 60th in February so ill get him CK euphoria to complement mums and also something special but i cant think of anything else just yet.

I know what you mean. I just looked at mine and thought 'woah, seriously?!'. But my mum has this obsession with making sure she spends the same on me and my brother so she inevitably ends up adding things for each of us until she's round about even. Also, a lot of those things are cheapish, smaller things, and I think a few of them came from Amazon, which is generally cheaper than some shops.

Having said that, I spent quite a lot on them in return. Me and my brother also agree to spend the same on each other.

Trip to Florence, piles of cash, and some new clothes.

Bought my sisters Gossip Girl on DVD, a ticket to see Beyoncé and games for my brother.

Bought my boyfriend DVDs, CDs, some luxury shaving stuff and a couple of extras.  I bought him a DS for his birthday and games for it not too long ago as well.
