That teaser video is brilliant. Really hope this gets a cinema release ahead of the blu-ray.

Yeah, me too now.
I'm going to my local independant cinema tonight so I might have a word with the manager, perhaps offer to put my collection on display, make something more of it if you know what I mean.

You can tell them the story of how you brought your great-grandkids to the premier in 1975.

Very happy about this. I think it will again be an old film that is the best film of the summer in the cinema. Last year it was Jurassic Park, this year Jaws.

Same with me! I was nearly in tears when the opening score came on: I'm so pathetic.

I wasn't even born yet, so never got the chance (yet!) to see my favourite film on the big screen...!

Just watched the last half hour or so on ITV4. I must have seen Jaws dozens of times, so I'm embarrassed to say that it's only now that I realised that the end credits appear to show Brody and Hooper coming ashore on their makeshift raft. I've never really paid much attention to that bit before, too busy reading names to see what was going on behind it! It's true when people say that you can take something new away each time you see it!

This kind of thing is pretty depressing. Unless I'm missing an extreme amount of sarcasm by both the asker and replier.

Damn! This is another film which I should put in the 're-watchable films' thread. An absolute classic. It was on TV the other day and me and the Missus watched it together - great fun! And I love the 'USS Indianapolis' speech by Shaw - the perfect choice to play that role! And the 'comparing scars' scene is freakin' hilarious! I crack up every time by Dreyfus' 'She broke my heart' moment! Ha ha! What a brilliant film! And what a great set of actors! One of the all time great films and a childhood classic!

Yep. That was the best thing about Prometheus (in my opinion!)

Completely agree, and said as much in another thread.

Have to say, if that trailer is anything to go by, they have done some sterling work with the negative.

Although I can't help but notice that, according to Vue, it stars Roy Schneider. I'm guessing Spielberg has done a Lucas on it and replaced an actor...

Hopefully seeing it this Friday. The Jurassic Park rerelease last year was my cinema highlight so here's hoping for the same again!

Going to watch this next Monday. Very excited but have to say im very disappointed that it isn't getting a very wide release. The Odeon website has it on their front page to book tickets and when you click its only showing at one of there cinemas in the whole country. What a joke!!!!!

Im off to see it at the Empire Cinema in Newcastle and even then its showing in the smallest screen ever with only about 20 seats. ANd its not a digital screen!!!!!

Cineworld seems to be the best place to go and have the most screenings but only digital in some cinemas. And they are not close to me!!!

Very upset.

And they're only showing it for one day aren't they?

Vue cinemas up here seem to be showing it fairly frequently.

The Cameo and Filmhouse in Edinburgh are showing it a bunch of times, and I'd imagine Cineworld is too as that's where I saw the trailer. Unfortunately I leave the country the day it comes out
