I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of the second one, but at least it retained the darkness of the first movie, although they should have kept the plot going about Murphy trying to regain his humanity by contacting his wife, I mean that's done and dusted in the space of the first ten minutes and was an incredible waste if you ask me, but in saying that, Robocop 2 is a masterpiece compared to the future installments of the franchise. 3 is more or less a pilot for the television series what with its child character and almost juvenile plotting. It's terrible beyond belief, personally I think it and the television series (tellingly broadcast on ITV on Saturday afternoons when it was shown) should be buried in the biggest hole imaginable along with a nuclear weapon and left to be annihilated to it can never be inflicted upon any unwilling humans again.
