Just bumping this as I was wandering, has anyone seen the Prime Directives TV movies? And if so are they any good?

this is artwork from the Marvel Comics Adaptation - I always thought it was funny how they were able to publish this as it's based on such a violent film; nowadays only Dark Horse get to do that.

That secretary is Kurtwood Smiths wife in real life which makes that scene all the more funny!

Watched this at 8am yesterday morning.

It's fair to say that lying in bed drinking tea and watching Robocop means the rest of the day is only going to go downhill

This was the first 18 film i went to see at the cinema (when i was 15) and i thought (and still think) that its an awesome piece of sci-fi action.

I bought the trilogy on DVD boxset only for the uncensored version of the first. The sequels were utter pants.

An utterly cool grown up comic book movie. Excellent. Superlatives fail me.

I've been a fan of this film ever since I was ten years old and I caught it on ITV in a terrible edited version ("bad mothercrusher", "airhead" "I'm tired of this baloney") , you could say I was shocked to the very core when I got round to seeing it uncut, but I love it to bits. Never have I seen a film that has managed to mix big bangs, ultra violence, pitch black humour, a critical assessment of republican conservatism and a surprising amount of heart and soul in the way Verhoeven does here. It is without doubt his best American film (Total Recall comes pretty close), but this one edges ahead because it surprisingly features some very moving moments (Murphy going back to his house and the scene where he removes the helmut for the first time), a brilliant Basil Poledouris score and a final line that simply has me cheering every time.

In my top 10!

Brilliant film, I watched this when I was 9 and was blown away! The first time I saw Robocop on screen for the first time, I'd never seen anything like it before. Love the fake adverts during the film too. Its one of those films I can watch again and again, and I still do.

I saw the edited tv version on ITV years ago and was disgusted that every swear word had been replaced with "frickin" amongst other random replacements. I thought it was ITV's editing department, but after watching a documentary Miguel Ferrer said that they dubbed it all themselves in the studio!

Robocop 2 was a disappointment, but the research in to replacing Murphy was interesting.

I saw Robocop 3 at the cinema, after getting over the fact that it wasn't Peter Weller in the suit, I drew my attention to the fact that they had made it in to a parody of the previous two films (2 was getting that way) The pink Cadillac! The jet pack and the super Japanese robots, not forgetting that annoying kid who was a computer whizz.

As for the tv series, I tried but it was pathetic.
