Every sequel has been a failure, and the lest said about the dire tv show the better

needless to say I dont think this is a great idea

No way, the origional was sublime for so many reasons and the sequel was one of the biggest let downs ever!! The shoot out scene above the rock concert was one of the best ever. The role would have rocketed Lee to super stardom (as deserved), and the one liners were awesome. It was pitched perfectly. I don't mind remakes when they are worth doing,...if the origional was pants or the special effects are massively dated, but when the first one was so good, and the second....without the standout performance of Lee was so bad, they should let it RIP!

I love the 1st crow film, and i even have a soft spot for no.3. But 2 and 4 are pretty bad. Who ever thought edward furlong would make a decent crow???

Im not totally against the idea of re-imagining it the "almost documentary-style." could be a interesting way to film it?

Is Norrington just a glutton for punishment or what? I don't mind remakes, so long as they're remakes of old classics ala War of the Worlds, but not modern ones. No need. No need whatsoever.

Then you can shoot him (annoying turd) and make the film good. It worked for the first Crow movie. This time he deserves to get shot unlike Brandon Lee.

Norrington returns! I thought it was a massive shame that he took his LXG experience so personally. You can tell by watching it that he wasn't allowed to make the movie he wanted. I personally didn't like The Crow. I thought it was cheesey and budget in a Highlander 2 kind of way. If Norrington is left alone to get on with it I would be interested to see the result. And my choice for the lead would be JONATHAN RHYS-MEYERS!

The Crow was a favorite of mine as a kid and after watching the film I bought the graphic novel, which kind of started my interest in comics. Although the source is much darker, I still think the film stands up as a great gothic love story and, as the article mentions, the tragic and coincidental circumstances that surrounded the movie only add to the mood of the film. To re-make this is not only disrespectful to Lee but also absolutely unnecessary. Read the book, buy the DVD, hell re-release the ’94 version, but have a little respect for the man and move on.

Yes Norrington is a good choice.

After the real mess that was the Third and Fourth movies it can't be hard to make a few improvments. The problem with the series has been its producer JEFF MOST. He seemed far to interested in repetition and getting as many cool rock bands on the soundtrack.

And FYI empire wrier - Vincent Perez played a completely new character in the second movie, not a NEW VERSION of the firsts.

They just happened to look the same LOL! Again, thank you Jeff Most.

Meh! Tis a damaged franchise as far as I am concerned.
Naturallly I love the original and even like a lot of stuff from the second but every thing after that is a big pile of arse.
If Norrington feels he can reinvigerate it, then fair enough. I don't have high hopes though.

I bloody love the first movie, I remember it being one of my faves as a lil teenager growing up

. Every other one since then did get more and more turdtastic, but I wouldn't say no to a fresh take on the material. And I think Norrington is a good choice and quite an impressive director, yeah LXG was a mess but we all know the whole thing was basically a nightmare from start to finish. Blade is a corker though, one of the better comic-film adaptations in my opinion, and done at a time when they weren't so 'in'.

the first installment of this is the only one worth watchin and to take a new look at it is the way to go i reckon start fresh, and get a nobody to be the star that way no one will have pre conceptions as to what he should be like, you can draw the crowds for the film and not the name of the actor there much crap created because they overpaid someone famous to take the role

The idea of remaking this film is not a good idea.
Why? It's disrespectful, in my eyes, not only to the memory of an absolutely monumental performance by Brandon Lee, but also to a film that embodied the idea/style of Noir in more recent times, so perfectly and honestly.
Onto the 'thing' of Norrington, well we all know how flawed (read as: utterly shit) LXG was, and in the same light, I appreciate that it must've been hard for him to work with such a 1-dimensional 'actor' such as Connery, but being my previous point was that they should leave it alone out of respect, I feel Norrington's efforts (and we know he has efforts e.g: Blade), and chance to redeem himself would be better applied elsewhere.
Maybe he should be at the helm of making a proper Max Payne film, I reckon he could pull that off something proper!

hi cant say that im that interested in another crow movie
but stephen norrington is a good director so we will have to see if this ever gets made with norrington at the helm.
also i was best mates with stephen norrington at school my real name is stephen moore and me and my brother peter a a few other friends used to hang around together.stephen had a great skill in make up even when we were at school i remember him making a life size alien in his bedroom then he went on to do make up for aliens.steve if you read this and are interested in getting back in touch with me leave a message here for me ok

I really love the original and that love has not been tarnished by the terrible sequels and oh-so-dreadful TV series so a chance to see a possibly decent new Crow outing has my vote.If it sucks we'll still have Proyas' and Lee's version and if it's good, then cool. As for who? How about Russell Brand?

City of Angels was a much better movie than every one made out. Perez and Kirshner were great, Iggy - fantastic (do you think I'm fucking afraid?). Directed by Pope (I'm also a huge Cure fan and love everything Pope has done - yes even 'I want to be a tree').
As for the new Crow how about Jack Huston?
