I'm kind of with him (to a degree) on the' not being allowed to express their opinions while on duty' thing. The 'not allowed to let opinions or emotions influence their actions' thing is a ridiculous impossibility though.

I've tried to watch 2001 A Space Odyssey three or four times.... sorry, I've never made it more than a half hour in without either falling asleep or turning it off...

I don't know what to say about 2001, it seems like such a polarising film that an opinion either way could be seen as unpopular. Although I'm speaking on a local and circumstantial level, I'm definitely in a minority amongst friends who likes it.

 So essentially what you are saying is they should look at the crime purely and objectively. The past history if the person committing the crime should not be a factor but rather the crime committed, the impact of that crime and the motive for the crime and then they should act accordingly on that objective approach?

I wish Morecambe & Wise would disappear from the airwaves forever. Every year I always lose the fight to watch something new because they're on another channel, and then everyone proceeds to laugh about three times over the course of the next hour.

I feel the same about Christmas music. Whilst I love Christmas and everything it entails, listening to the same fuck-awful 80's suckfest songs about it fucking snowing despite all the artists being english makes me want to punch Santa right in the man-cunt.

I think it's brilliant that really young kids are being introduced to technology like touch screen tablets etc.

Sure you get the stories about kids then being given real books and try and turn the pages by swiping their finger on them, but as with most things with little kids, they'll stop doing that as they get older and learn more. That and it's usually some hysterical old biddy complaining about nothing.

But as for the benefits, it's scary to think how good they're going to be when they're older. We already see it now with teenagers who can be doing one thing on their laptop, texting a friend on their phone, and watching TV at the same time, and know exactly what's going on with all three if you ask them.

A generation of insanely good multi-taskers will be upon us before we know it, and I for one applaud out insect overlords!

I didn’t get Alison Brie’s appeal (well I got it) but I wasn’t personally attracted and then during the third series something worked. I think it was during Virtual Systems Analysis. Still I prefer Gillian.
