i read the aicn interview yesterday and was left feeling reassured that the online naysayers were once again wrong, and that spike hasnt messed this up. cant wait, the picture of the boy and the wild thing sat next to each other is amazing.

Hopefully this'll do mega-bucks and finally stop the mainstream trend of dumbing down 'kids' films. But then, if the aceness of Pixar can't knock that trend on its arse then nothing can...

What I've seen and read of it up till now it seems like it's going to be great. Son of Rambow, Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, now this, it's a great time for movies about kids but can appease young and old.
Looking forward to this.

Don't forget Monster House. I think that was one of the best, most under rated 'kid's' films of the past 10 years. And the closest thing we've had to the realistic kid-banter of the Goonies in god knows how long. Chowder is ace!
