So with Craig signed on to do another two Bond films, that means a new actor won't be cast in the role for another... 6 years? With that in mind, is there a chance that current favourite Fassbender might be too old for the role by then? He's 35/36 now... I'm thinking that the most likely contenders are the young British/Irish/Commonwealth actors that are around 28/29 now, so will be 35ish when the opportunity comes up - your Tom Hiddlestons, your Aidan Turners, your Charlie Coxs - actors who are too young now, but won't be in a few years time. Of course, I still think Henry Cavill might get the role. Yes, I know he's Superman, but he was down to the last two last time and lost it for being too young - plus the Bond producers have a habit of coming back to actors they thought were previously too young (Dalton, Brosnan). The ONLY thing holding him back is the fact that's he's now Superman. If it's a hit, his career and price tag will rocket, however there's no reason why an actor can't juggle or try to juggle multiple franchises - Daniel Craig (Bond, Girl With The...), Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Van Helsing), etc. Even if it's a flop, I don't think that would hold him back significantly from getting the gig. Plus he really does look the part.
