What do people think about Ralph Fiennes' role? That still of him firing could be misleading, even though it looks as though he's shooting at Bond. It could be a 'misunderstanding' between the two characters (i.e a near disastrous first meeting). I do hope he is the new M.

Amazing Spiderman or MiB3 for the first trailer? When do they hit cinemas? I thought Spidey was end of May, but having just checked it looks like early July?? I thought Spidey would be the obvious choice to debut the first trailer, to be honest

I have the boxset so not really bothered, it just means STV will have nothing to show during English football matches.

I really don't know what to make of that shot. People have been saying he's the new M, but I always suspected he might be a fellow 00 Craig encounters in the field.

SPOILER SPECULATION:

We know London comes under attack in SKYFALL, and speculation is that Judi Dench is killed. Fiennes could be caught in the midst of that attack, and is promoted in the aftermath.

The rumor is MIIIB, though that seems pretty low rent, if you ask me. That's a troubled production with less than promising BO prospects. I'd think you'd want to attach your 200 million dollar fall blockbuster to a film more likely to succeed, or at least, a film with greater buzz.

Come on now, Will Smith is one of the biggest stars on the planet and the MIB series is very popular.MIB3 is hardly '' low rent ''.It also looks like good fun.

MIIB has no hype, and in fact is infamous for being a production so troubled it was shut down half way, full stop, while they wrote a new script. They only completed it much later on.

Even BATTLESHIP had more hype going for it.

No doubt Will Smith is the biggest star on the planet today, but the buzz on MIIIB has been toxic.

I misspoke, it turns out they began filming without a second or third act in their script, and then just shut down and gave up, returning only after the script had been completed.

It would be great if Ralph Fiennes is M.

] And it was all planned as well (rather than them just giving up) - they had a finished written first act and the second and thrid acts needed refining; however they wanted to film as much as possible before the New York tax breaks got cut (which never happened in the end) so they went with filming the first act with the plan to break and polish the second and third acts then. Makes sense that, if they had a chance to film now when it was cheaper and they had something ready to go, that they'd do that rather than wait for no real reason.

Of course it could still turn out to be rubbish but at last the break in filming was down to financial timings rather than creative bankruptcy.

Back to Bond - there's no way they could leave the Skyfall trailer until Spidey in July as they need time for at least two trailers before October. So teaser with MIB3 and a full one three months down the line, possibly in August (maybe with Total Recall?)

SF is getting way more buzz than MIB3.
having the bond trailer attached may be a good thing for it.

Interesting...I also think this narrows down Ralph Fiennes role. He's either a turncoat villain or he's M's successor.

"The passage of time, the barrel of a gun, you will be mine"

Country:..."United Kingdom". He's a British intelligence officer afterall, tut tut.

SPOILERS:

Bond gets a psych evaluation in the opening, word association.

"Country?" "England."

"Gun?" "Shot."

"... murder?" "Employment."

Better than the cheap QOS "shadow on sand" image. Variety would be nice if I could read it.

1st bond trailer/teaser not to have the theme tune.

also features the 'legends' game trailer -

The theme tune is present, but diluted shall we say via dub-stepping. I like it though. Good trailer, minimalist but shows off the cinematography.

It's been up all day and I've been out of work for hours, we're t-42 minutes from midnight and I still can't bring myself to watch the teaser. Right now, Skyfall is a glorious, perfect idea. An *ideal*. After I see this teaser, it will be a film. This is a big moment, one I've been waiting for all my life. You and I are just passing through Bond history. Skyfall IS Bond history.
