 I have no idea what the worst film is cuz i haven't seen them all but I would imagine something by Edward D Wood Jr... my personal favourite worst film ever is the Phantom of the Opera but I know some people love it. Pearl Habour also sucked. As did Patch Adams.

I'm very easy going with my films and I will find something to praise in just about everything. However, from all the many film I have seen, the ones above are the only ones I can't find any redeeming features in.

I almost included Things To Come, The Beach and The Old Dark House, but its been so long since I watched them its unfair place them is this list. I'll need to see them again.

Has anyone ever seen Gus Van Sant's 'Gerry', it feels like it's 17 hours long, and apparently it means something. It's fairly hateful.

 HitchHikers Guide was a tremendous film. It was true to the books, the cinematography was excellent and as expected, hilarious.

I (heart) Huckabees - probably the most self-indulgent piece of shite I've seen in all my years on this earth.
Anything with Steven Seagal - waving your hands around like an idiot when you're fighting does not make you look hard.
Pearl Harbour - with the exception of the 'bomb shot' I feel completely cheated out of 3 good hours of my life.
Any of the Joel Schumacher Batman films
The Blair Witch Project - It. Just. Isn't. Scary. Atall. Overhyped bullshit.

Obviously The Lord Of The Rings aren't worse films than The Avengers from a filmmaking standpoint, but I'd rather watch The Avengers than any of the LOTR films as it's not as boring.

This thread started sensibly and has now dissolved into farce.  I don't like threads like this anyway, it's supposed to be a film appreciation website!

Anyway, to say that the LOTR movies are the worst films ever made is simply retarded - and renders the opinion of the poster of no interest to me whatsoever on any other matters.  I can entirely understand if the films aren't to your taste, but from a true film lovers point of view there is far too much to admire to decide that they're the "worst films ever."  No person of reasonable intelligence could arrive at that conclusion.  Whilst the global public - and indeed the academy - are not always necassarily right, nor are they that wrong.

In terms of worst films ever, and I'm talking proper shit - as most reasonable people on this thread are - I seem to remember feeling that Super Mario Bros was an absolutely joyless experience, without a single redeeming feature.

Sorry. I think I overloaded on Masters Of The Universe when I was younger, due to my sister watching it constantly, so I've grown to loathe it. Caddyshack I saw last year for the first time and there is more humour to be found in an empty crisp packet. Finally, anything that has anything whatsoever to do with Pokemon needs to be destroyed.
